The time indicator was not a part of the original design. It was added to add higher stakes for the T.V. show. Apparently, the creator of Ultraman was not happy with it. I also think that the reason there's no Specium Ray is because we don't know what it's going to look like in the movie.

I think the complaints about a lack of accessories with Monsterarts are causing Tamashi to go the other way, so rather than including accessories with their monsterarts now they’re taking accessories away from their other lines 💔
