So IWC caliber 8541 has a hacking function. I saw some reviews if the vintage 8541B without the hacking motion. Does the watch run without the hacking lever??

The hack function consists of two parts, a lever and a spring. The fact that the hack function does not work properly may have forgotten or lost the lever as shown in the video.

Hi, I would really like to know how you put that dial side together. I am not a very experienced amateur watchmaker and I own several watches with this movement. I started to disassemble one of them which I need to clean and service, but trying to reassemble the calendar works failed - I can't get the quick date part to work. Either the date does not change at all or the quick set does not work. Any tip or trick?

The date feed wheel of 8541 needs to pass through the date wheel with a spring when rotating in reverse. If the date wheel doesn't move properly, you won't be able to make quick changes. Try lubricating the area around this spring. Also, the tip of the protrusion on the date wheel is slanted. I also polish this area.
