A cool little detail I noticed: at the beginning of the song, if your listening with headphones, you can hear one of the girls laugh in the left ear, and at the end, you can hear a laugh from the other girl in the right headphone

You said about the girl laugh but when i turn up my volume, i've got jumpscare by the loud train sound lol

i always thought it was the person jumping in front of the train, like when the girl who was in despair or something like that and jumped in front of a train was the first giggle, then the girl who bullied her (i don't understand japanese very well so im not sure if that is even what happened i heard it was something like that 😭) was the one who jumped at the end

@@arachnoophobic I think that's it, yeah - also, just to specify on what's going on the song: Let's just called them, for simplicity, A and B. B is in love with A, and in order to get their attention, they ask everyone to bully A. However, A is pushed over the edge and jumps onto the tracks, committing suicide. B is overwhelmed by guilt and desperate to be reunited with A, unable to live without her, and eventually does the same. I'm pretty sure you're right about the giggles. It *would* make sense, lyric-wise. I think, when it comes to the song structure, A jumps at the start, then you've got B being consumed by guilt and wanting to kill themself, leading to the giggle at the end (and all the train noises). i literally just wrote this comment but i have to add that this song is DOING things to me Another edit: Looked at the lyrics again, and it's implied that A was gang raped ( "the sneering monsters, until their hearts are full with it, will claw their nails at your non-uniform skirt" "the summer's silence was torn through by your scream" ). There's also the lyric "the one who set the funeral flowers on the next target, had been me", just before the previous two. I'm assuming this means that B did, in fact, plan the rape? They certainly didn't seem to plan on *helping*. "So, to your hands as you were drowning, I laid a soft kiss" is another interesting lyric, I'd say - A is on the verge of suicide, way past their limit, treated in a way that's inhumane, and B still insists that it's out of love more than anything else. Then there's "a transparent you, points your finger to me". I'm less certain about this one, but considering the title is literally "ghost girl", I'm going to assume that A is quite literally doing that as a ghost/spirit. Maybe she's not even there. Maybe B is imagining it, or maybe she's seeing A because she's about to be a ghost/spirit herself. Last thing, I swear. "Say, if we could love one another, in the transparent world..." shows just how disgusting B is. They were the one, ultimately, who led to A's fate. Yet, even then, they think that they can love each other.
the vocals in this cover are so beautiful, especially at 4:00, it honestly makes me feel like i’ve ascended to heaven. the 2dmv also fits incredibly, they all harmonize so pleasantly. it’s truly so meaningful, i love this song

I like how Miku’s the only one without a shadow. In the original illustration, it symbolized the dead girl (ghosts don’t casts shadows). In here, it symbolizes Miku’s virtuality.

@@cospr0sun before i thought it was meant to be haruka because in the original it was the short haired girl who died, but after the mv i'm also more inclined to think shizuku is the one who represents the dead girl (if we dont count miku)
@televiq_sub22 жыл бұрын
@@ayumikv9987 this is probably likely. haruka playing the role of the pov as the person who took away mai’s voice and feeling regret, and shizuku the bullied one being subject to the backtalking from her fellow group members
