I watch Barracuda and Sharks swim between people all the time at Hollywood beach . When I was a teen there was a barracuda we named “ Fred” off Anglins pier saw him for years off the 2 nd reef

I was there about 6 years ago and a guy caught a 8 Ft bull shark around the corner at the dog friendly beach. My wife was going in the water at the main beach when I pointed out two diamond back rattlers swimming up the beach. They were about 3-4 ft. She didn’t go in

My Rottweilers love to swim but there's no way that I'd let them get in the water at a beach in Florida , actually in any body of water in Florida except for a swimming pool. There's too many dog eating beasts in Florida waters.

Considering the millions of peoples including tourists swiming in floridan waters. And that there is only around 100 shark related incident You really really have to be unlucky that you happen to be near a shark that is hungry, not intimidated by humans and chosing you as food instead of the regular fish he is used to Especialy if you swim in popular beaches like in Miami area and that you stay inside 500 feet from shores

Bull sharks are the most aggressive ones but not the only ones that will bite you. Where I'm from in Florida a 15 year old girl was visiting the area with her family and was in the shallow water on the beach floating on a cheap boogie board when a bull shark took her entire leg off with one bite. Unfortunately she bled out and died before she could get proper help.

@@rottweilerfun9520 yeah alligators eat ALOT of pets annually in Florida. An old lady was walking her dog near a pond and as they were walking by an alligator came shooting out of the waters edge like a missile and snatched the dog in a flash. She had no time to react as her dog was small so it got swallowed whole. I always keep my dogs away from the water and if they want to swim they can jump in the pool.

Mostly hammerheads all up and down the beaches every time I go out there fishing. I don't think they ever mess with any people though, hundreds of them can be seen from above very often just swimming around the people on the beach.

I lived there for 9 months. Exactly on the beach Spent a lot of time in the water Only heard of one sighting. Only thing was Man O War jelly fish. That came every so often
