Grew up watching Sha Na Na on TV and my parents took us to the Stanley theater in Pittsburgh around 1978 to see them live. I grew up listening to doo-wop music with my parents. Every once in a while I watch them play these songs to remind me of them

I love how they take turns singing this song!

Formerly this song was sung by Eliott "Gino" Cahn who was about to leave the band a couple of weeks later. He sang it at Woodstock. I suppose they didn't want to replace him by an only lead singer.

I really enjoy these live clips when they were rough and ready before the TV people polished them!!!

Sis and I never missed Sha Na Na! She was quite the 50s fan, was also the youngest member of the Fabian Fan Club! They used to trade letters and cards every year.

The founder and original lead singer was Robert Leonard. He noted that contracts seemed to be saying one thing, but were saying the opposite. He got his PhD in linguistics. Has taught it to the FBI and is a professor for years at university. Has solved several crimes, incl 2 on Forensic Files.

@lesterbronson2385 hey,I like the group. I feel this rendition didn't sound as good to me. That's all! I wasn't trying to be mean, that's my opinion. It's like u being opinionated about a rap group.
