What a song for memories. I was 10 years old then, and n 1956 had escaped from Communist Hungary. Never did see a TV let alone such happy guys as these. Then I asked my step-dad can I have 25 cents to see Zorro at the village movies. He said I should learn to work for it. So I got a job mowing lawn in summer and shoveling snow in Winter. Each week I went to see Zorro as part of the short-shorts which went on and on so you would come back. By 4th grade, I had set aside some money and bought my first All Stars sneakers.

Btw, why should he be nervous? They only had to show up and mime as the song was already on the speakers so to speak. Maybe he was nervous being in front of all these white kids? You know, segregation and all - and maybe or possibly he had some bad memories from childhood? Keep it in mind.

It was written in 1957 which is the same year that I was born.Know as early rock and roll.Lenny.

The show received 48,000 requests... R.I.P. Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012} and The Killer celebrated his 77th birthday this past September 29th...

I'm 63 years old 1958 was here I was born but back in them days when rock and roll was just starting to get huge I tell you the music the singers and everything was a a lot better back in them days unfortunately the real racism was around but the young people enjoyed the music despite what their parents thought but the music was fantastic not only the harmonize was wonderful but they were able to literally make musical sounds with their voices one thing that was extremely positive that racism ended.. of course these days I think the music is absolutely horrible I'm no racist but this new style music what they call. New Wave and Rapp and and this Crap. They call hip Hop Sucks. They talk about prostitution killing cops selling drugs what a little I can understand. And they no longer have any Harmony they always have artificial synthesize computerized noise and they call that music. I call it a bunch of noise and they say the stuff today that white people are racists that's a bunch of bull crap. They don't know the first thing about racism I grew up in Tuscaloosa Alabama and back then what they call racism was. Racism but what they call racism today isn't maybe there's 10% racist people today but back in the fifties '60s and part of the '70s racism was at least 50% and that was 50% on both sides.. so stop bringing up That white privilege Shit there's a such thing as black privilege also look.at Oprah Winfrey when she's first started out she was so simple news reporter and now she's a billionaire I'm glad she is and I'm glad she's done well but she really hasn't worked that hard and she's way more privileged then me a white man Me will ever be. These people up today they call this stuf happening today and call it racism but it's not racism they just think that they should get a free handout.
