This is an example of the group knowing their vocal strengths of who can do whatever the song they choose to perfrom the song extremely well. It's not only just Johnny, although he is remarkable, the others can do very well when the song calls for it. As I have said, they know who can do the song the best.

I had the privilege of meeting “Bowser” on a cruise my wife and I took in 1999. He was very gracious and fun to talk to. I always looked forward to their TV show, and was disappointed when it was canned!

Takes me back to 1967 when my 17 YO bride and I were stationed in San Angelo, TX. Still together and been around the world thanks to the USAF. Sha Na Na were one of the most talented groups ever. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Faerydancer for posting this & other SNN videos! I discovered SNN back in 1969/1970 when I was a teenager. I loved their TV show in the late 70's. These guys ROCK!!!! I wish their TV was back on as there's not much on TV anymore; too many "reality" shows that are so unreal it's not funny!

Couldn’t find this song on their albums on iTunes, so I’m glad to see it here. Last time was 50 years ago on TV. Question: did they perform this live, or lip-sync to an earlier recording? Anyone, anyone?

There were a few instances where lip movements didn't seem to match the vocal sound. I originally thought they were lip-synching the Jamies but I think they were doing their own pre-recording.

Lip-synching was rare with Sha Na Na. They mostly sang live.
