Now this is a performance!! You can see and hear the raw passion in her voice, and her singing is utterly flawless! It's such a shame she looks so ill here.
@truthbtruth85593 жыл бұрын
Sad indeed but her unique, beautiful voice was still so flawless here. Lesley passed away in her early 60's only a few years ago. Her Producer was John Madara who is my good friend. They stayed friends until her end.

Great singer indeed! I couldn't help noticing how thin she was here. It made her look older. She's a naturally attractive looking woman.

I know Bowser is a tall guy but she looked so small in comparison to all the guys lol This was a national anthem for females back in the day and BEFORE Women's Lib. Considering most female songs were about doing all you can to get and keep your man... this was so refreshing. lol :o)

wish that they would come out with sha na na on dvd in seasons already.
@FrankiesMarket7 жыл бұрын
Releasing full seasons of Sha Na Na on DVD would seem to be a no-brainer. But I wonder if trying to secure licensing for all of the music would be too difficult and/or costly.

I agree Paul. These guys never got the respect due to them. Damn near every one of them could sing. Extremely talented group of guys that were very entertaining. I've looked on the web but can't find their show on DVD.

Yes same here. II saw them also around 1985 Johnny had left the band by then when he left everything kind of went downhill because it was so great.

Unbelievable! She transformed a simple pop song into a holy Adon Olam. Something the Hasidim were know for, by the way, with their Cossack drinking songs. ברוך דיין האמת / Blessed is the true judge.

She had great comedic timing and delivery. The haircut isn’t the most flattering but I’m glad you get to see a different side than the “girl next door”.

That is a shame. Back when cigarette commercial really pushed their dam products even back in 70s where they were giving free cigarette boxes out in the street to get people to continue to smoke. Unfortunately, not until in the 80s did we realize smoking was bad for you. Sad so many died of lung cancer due to cigarettes.
