annie was separated at birth, was raised by the care takers for a year, than reintroduced as the mother didn't recognise annie as her child, Shabani the silver back raised her and is overprotective of her.

I don't have any degree or education as far as Gorillas go.I just adore them and see so much amazing behaviors in them. I comment also because I enjoy when others with more experience can educate me as I love learning all I can about these magnificent souls and even be corrected on behaviors & situations I was wrong about. It is nice to also hear others opinions so I can see the same video but in a different point of view from what I though was going on.It is kind of cool how others can bring out what I may have missed so i can enjoy through others interpretation. I just happened to see this video and re watch because I adore little Annie and hoe daddy loves her. Can't believe that this family is still living in such a really exhibit. I do love that Sabani is such a good father, just wish that the Japanese people who seems to love this family would DEMAND that a better living conditions be provided. I'm begging all of you to get involved with this exhibit.

At the time you wrote this comment, a new facility for Shabani and family was almost completed. It is my understanding that the new habitat took nearly two years to complete. It is a remarkable home for them! I do hope you have seen it by now.
