"Suffering is a loss of agency; when I don't have freedom over my actions or the way I see the world." Sheikh Javad Shomali. Well said! I've definitely strongly felt this before. It is very spot on, and exactly as you emphasize, it is VERY possible to get out from feeling this loss of agency and control over your life. It takes a lot of reflection, support, learning/relearning/un-learning behaviors & thought patters to create mindset shifts, with the help of Allah of course. In essence, it is not that we have "lost" agency/control over our lives, but that we have willingly, and unintentionally, given it up to others and circumstances. When you realize you have the power to take control over your life if you choose to, life becomes much more different alhamdulillah! May Allah help everyone who is struggling to realize and regain their sense of self agency/control inshallah. Thank you Sheikh Javad Shomali mashallah for this beautiful series of lectures, they are very enlightening and they resonate with me so much alhamdulillah!

He comes from the far darkness, in hope of a half glance. Broken hearted and distressed he takes a painful deep breath. He says oh Seyedi, oh moon of the blurry night, come and take the stress and sadness off of my tired heart. I am the one who on this very land came and stood in your way, I am broken hearted because why did I break Zainab’s heart. I am a droplet who is constant in hope of reaching the sea. Could it possibly be that the reason for my forgiveness is acceptance from master , acceptance from my master. (Very rough translation but tried my best)
