I absolutely LOVED the trunk. I'm a sucker for a good thrift flip. You did it perfectly. I am so with you on not wanting or needing my Mod Podge projects to be perfect. If Farmhouse or distressed is your thing, why would anyone want it perfect? A distressed piece with anything so called perfect just sticks out to me. But that's me. Imperfect is perfection in my world. Plaster is also my favorite Plaid- Waverly color. I use it and Antique Wax the most. Thank you for sharing these projects with us. 👏⭐ Edit: Yes Girl! I love that you sanded after painting the cook book stand. I love to layer paint until I get the look I want. I prefer more than just 2 layers even if I'm only using 2 colors. Then sanding to take it up even another notch. In my opinion, it makes it look much more authentic. It really makes it look aged instead of just looking like some one painted, distressed and done. Good things come with more time spent. ❤ LOVE THOSE BIRDS!!!

Waverly chalk paint- plaster... the Horse/Unicorn almost made me cry ... I am very much pregnant and hormonal lol. But my baby niece who is almost 4 would so LOVE her!!!! I am thinking about trying to replicate this with some of her colors and stuff... but her party is the 19th so I will have to figure out if I have the time to run to town to get the stuff. But amazing job, I adore her so very much and think ... you did amazing!!

I love your style! I think your purple bird came out great. That paper is gorgeous! My favorite color Waverly paint is also Plaster. A nice substitute for stark white, especially when doing vintage crafts. I use it more than any other color.

My style is Farmhouse, but I love to throw in the Vintage scrapbook paper like my Grammies wallpaper she had I her beautiful 3 story home that was built in 1920’s. So beautiful then throw in some French Country with “Plaster by Waverly” and I am in heaven don’t really know what you would call those styles combined 🤔🤔??? The trunk is gorgeous!
