9/14/24: Good gosh, Pam, I've seen other fabric JJ, but none that compares to this one here. OMG, it's so complete, not just cream-colored signature pages with pockets, lace and that's that, and I am SO loving it and inspired to make one. I can't get over its beauty. Now I know what a true completed JJ is supposed to look like. Thank you for sharing it. It's great! Uh, did I mention how much I love it? 😉

Hello! Thanks for the nice compliments! A fabric journal is like a book where the pages are made entirely from fabric (either one piece of fabric or a bunch of smaller pieces sewn together). They can be used for writing (I put pockets with paper and notebooks in them to journal on). You can put additional items in the pockets like photos and things you want to save. They are like a writing journal, but made of fabric. Or some people just like to have them out to look at. You did not come across weird! I understand everything you said. On my channel there are some tutorials on how to make these types of journals along with other types using more paper. Please let me know if you have any more questions, I would be happy to answer them!

Thanks Donna. Yes I have made journals out of tablecloths. I have struggled in the past, not wanting to cut them up, but, now I love to cut away and use the smaller pieces in clusters, snippet rolls on tags and covers - the possibilities are endless - I appreciate you sharing! xx

Thanks for the nice comments - I do have a series of tutorials on my channel on how to make an all fabric journal. Specifically in this series I use fabric and handkerchiefs. Thanks Judi! No I didn't. When the collaged fabric pages were put back to back and sewn together, they were thick enough without any extra padding between them. I started with a tea dyed bed sheet, cut to the dimensions of my pages, attached pieces of fabric and lace to one side of the sheet, glued them down and sewed all around the edges of each piece of fabric scrap. When two "pages" were sewn together they were thick enough so no batting was needed. Let me know if you have any other questions - I would be happy to answer them!

That's a beautiful journal it's all fabric how did you get all the fabric sewn did you have to do it by hand and did some pages by the machine or what or did you have one of those big industrial machines to do it all in the machine once all the pages were made because that is pretty thick because that is a beautiful book it is good for a wedding or an anniversary or something like that but it's beautiful thank you for sharing it

Thank you for the kind comments - I composed each fabric page first and then used my sewing machine to attach to the fabric cover- believe it or not, my machine is not an industrial one, just a basic model - hard to believe right? I agree it would be perfect for a wedding or anniversary album. I have a tutorial on my channel on how I make my fabric journals if you would like to check it out 😁
