Have to come back to say your lace dialog has me on the floor 😂...and as much as I would love to chime in with my lace and paper thought, pretty certain I would be asked to take my ball and go home. 💖

I share your love of lace. Everyone has a stash of bits and scraps they got from thrift shops & squirrels away. Not me! I don't have enough opportunities to find lace and the big box stores are low quality. So I buy the most beautiful lace I can find on Etsy. It's just what I do. It makes me happy. Enjoy what makes you happy too. ❤ My love of fine lace is probably why I don't like paper doilies 🤔

I like how you did this with the stamps for people who don't have a printer. I don't have a problem printing on vellum because I use a thicker grade. I will be experimenting and making cards with the vellum and the stamps. ❤❤❤
@shabbydabbydoodah5 жыл бұрын
This is 100gsm tracing paper, so thicker than the type that we used as kids. The stamped ones are just as nice I think too x

Lace. I want all the lace. Unless it's a really masculine journal, or maybe a woodland theme, most of the time these are vintage or shabby or feminine and for me (my opinion) that means lace! Not using lace feels almost like not using ink. :-) Don't overthink it, your work is always, always, always gorgeous. tfs XX

In the States, our tracing paper is very thin. Yours looks like vellum?
@chrisannm52405 жыл бұрын
I LOVE these so much! All of my tracing paper pads are very thin, like onion skin paper, I didn't know it comes in other thicknesses, what is your paper? I really want to try these with my own stamped images, printer ink is SO expensive! Yours turned out so beautifully. I think I may try gently scoring the tracing paper to see if it makes the flap lay flat. I enjoy you so much, thank you for all your great projects! 🦋
@Tattytreasure5 жыл бұрын
Love these. Have you the link of the tracing paper that you brought every time I've ordered some it was alot thinner that looks ideal

What's all this crazy talk about not using lace? It wouldn't be Shabbydabbyfabulous if you didn't. Now, who are you and what have you done with Tina?!?!? ~ Lisa PS - The envelopes are absolutely gorgeous and I will most definitely make some. I am fortunate to have had a pack rat for a mother, God rest her soul, and so have some beautifully aged tracing paper on hand, perfect for this project. It's fragile, but the extra layer should give it some strength. Thanks ever so much.
@shabbydabbydoodah5 жыл бұрын
Oh how wonderful, using some aged tracing paper, have fun. Yes, no lace......what was I thinking? Lol x
