From an alcoholic with two years of sobriety: it is never your fault that someone can’t get sober. Love yourself enough to distance from the addict ruining your life, they will thank you later if they make it out the other side of rock bottom. And don’t leave in a fiery fit of emotion laying out all your pain, because that will just give them ammunition for further self victimization. And don’t linger around waiting on them to get home, it gives them the delusion they aren’t completely out or their mind if they still have loved ones surrounding them. I needed to lose everything to finally give up and win the hardest battle of my life. Hugs and empathy for the pain, you are always enough ❤ addiction runs deeper than human intervention, it’s a disease of the soul that requires an intervention that can only be pulled from within and above.

The duo with this song is just amazing! Their voices go together like angels..
@SpikesxuАй бұрын
This song is pure perfection. Their voices pair so well together, and the emotion within the lyrics portrayed by each side, is so extremely powerful. Shaboozey's voice plays the role of the "defeated", "struggling", and leans into the "lost". While Noah Cyrus's voice plays the role of the concerned questioner, then leans into a more reluctant yet assertive, "I'm done" questioner. At the end, Shaboozey's voice is now alone, as the weight of the reality sinks in. Both literally (the booze), and metaphorically. This is a master class in emotion speaking through one's music. I can not even begin to fully explain how powerful this song is with these two voices so perfectly portraying the story.

@As a Black man...the narrative has been we don't like Country music (even us from the South)...I agree a significant portion of us don't but, I and alot of Us did and do. Shaboozey and his team have figured it out... Every song has GREAT Melody, Lyrics, no weird/out-of-place/misunderstood notes or keys, and little to NO profanity with Heart and Soul that the WHOLE family can enjoy and listen to without need of an edited version!!! GREAT JOB Shaboozey ... Don't change the formula nor your Character and Integrity and your future is Golden!!! #My2Centz

Thank you sir I appreciate your perspective coming from a middle aged white man raised to not see color being from Michigan and living in Tennessee I've always lived in culturally diverse areas and stereotypes are there based on majority but that doesn't include everyone in that mindset, I love country and rock music hell even enjoy jazz, classical and blues, but I am a huge fan of hip-hop there's a different passion with it the emotion can say what's in your heart and on your mind alot easier, again thank you sir for being open minded and helping push the narrative to shatter the typical stereotype.

❤ Is it my fault you're lost? It's hard for me to see you when you're drunk In a bathroom stall, taking pills, giving up You tryna find your friends, but it's too dark Tell me how you're getting home You took the car You called me 'fore you passed out in the yard Feeling low, getting high Where did everything go wrong? You say that it's the universe, and blame it on the stars Yeah I can only handle heartache When there's bourbon in my hand If I had to relive all the hard days I would do it all again I'm getting better at the bar games Should've been a better man So don't you keep on trying to fix me You've done everything you can But this road you led me down is too long It ain't nothing like the streets I grew up on When I beg you not to go, you leave again Well, I guess I wasn't enough in the end Is it my fault you're lost? It's hard for me to see you when you're drunk In a bathroom stall, taking pills, giving up You tryna find your friends, but it's too dark Tell me how you're getting home You took the car You called me 'fore you passed out in the yard Feeling low, getting high Where did everything go wrong? You say that it's the universe, and blame it on the stars Well, I made up my decision When you and me were sitting, barely living Coexisting, drifting slowly into dust With you, I'm only getting Eden or Armageddon So I'm beginning to forgetting the last memories of us 'Cause this road you led me down is too long It ain't nothing like the streets I grew up on When I beg you not to go, you leave again Was my love for you not enough in the end? Is it my fault that you're lost? It's hard for me to see you when you're drunk In a bathroom stall, taking pills, giving up You tryna find your friends, but it's too dark Tell me how you're getting home You took the car You called me 'fore you passed out in the yard Feeling low, getting high Where did everything go wrong? You say that it's the universe, and blame it on the stars You say that it's the universe, and blame it on the stars You say that it's the universe, and blame it on the stars But this road you led me down is too long It ain't nothing like the streets I grew up on When I beg you not to go, you leave again Well, I guess I wasn't enough in the end
