I’ve been a big fan since 9 in 1 in 2008. Their songs have a special sound to it. On this album, I miss that sound. The clean vocals are great if you like clean vocals. I generally don’t, and after a week, they don't grow on me on this album either. I wish they hadn’t ‘released Juha from his duties’. But happy musicians are the most important! Have fun and do your thing, Shade Empire!

It's a great metal album, but it is not a great SE album, too much clean vocals, I like it, but I prefer the older albums.

All you "tHiS iS nOt mY sHaDe eMpiRE, nOt sOuNDinG liKE oMeGa ArCaNe" whiners should take a seat and enjoy this beautiful music instead of comparing it to music of an another album. Sinthetic, Zero Nexus, Omega Arcane... They are all albums of their own style, not copies of each other. That's how music works - it evolves. There is no point in replicating and album - that would stop the process of band's development. If you truly compare this "generic melodic death metal", you obviously have left all your objective judgement behind and try stubbornly cling to something, that you can't let go of. It's okay to love an album more than others. I also enjoy Omega Arcane, and it is one of my favorite works ever. But you know, it is not going anywhere - you can always listen to it when you feel sad about how Sunholy sounds to you. If the band plays music, that isn't your cup of tea, then maybe you should create a club for "Omega Arcane enjoyers" or something. It's not the band - they do what they strive towards to. It is you, who can't enjoy it.

You could also seat down, relax and listen to what people have to say. As it happens I love so much OMEGA ARCANE that this is the only album I would take on a desert island, should I take only one among my collection. I listened to their earlier stuff but it didn't appeal to me, yet Poetry Of The Ill Minded is a very nice album too. All I have listened from the new album is surely not bad, even good but it does not bring me anything. Sorry if I miss the right words but every new song has been wiped out of my memory once it's over. I will give the album a chance but there is no hope on my side. Glad some people like it.

@AlanStarscreamFx I wouldn't call it "evolved". Evolution means changing for the better. This simply is just a "change of direction". It is my personal opinion tho. People have different opinions, and I respect that.
