I saw that you also picked up the yellow crystal variant. I did too and i’m loving it. You should do a comparison between the Ray-Ban Classic Wayfarer and the Saratoga. I think a lot of people would like to see that comparison.

All metal seven barrel hinges no less. Top of the top! The 6 colors are incredible, my favorite is the gray crystal 😁. I agree, way underpriced for the build quality. Made just like their cousin state that retails for 400... so your spot on with your guess on a retail in the video.

Hi. Was just wondering how these compare to the wayfarer in size. These are a size 52. I wear 54 in the Ray ban wayfarer. Will the Saratoga be too small for me.?

Take the frame width and bridge size into account. The Ray-Ban’s are 144mm wide in that size with a 18 mm bridge. The original Saratoga (and likely the rerelease, since they used the same blueprint) was 142mm wide with a 19mm bridge.

The temple looks so much better then the Wayfarer. The wayfarer was way too thick. Is it correct assumption that the temples are a bit thinner on the Saratoga?

Those look fantastic on you! A friend just gave me a pair of the new Wayfarers. I had to adjust the hell out of them to get right. Glad I didn’t pay for them. I wouldn’t pay $500 for ANY sunglasses. I had a $70 pair of Fossil sunglasses that served me well for about 8 years. I tried a pair of Ao several months ago. I don’t quite remember the fit and quality as I was having contacts issues and not focused on the sunglasses experience. Good video though!

@ShadeReview, may I suggest you include the lens type in either your commentary or video description? e.g. 2N, 3P, 2F.... Most manufacturers do not include those when you purchase online, and instead they describe the lens type which is often inadequate. I appreciate your time 🙏

Man I was excited until I saw that price tag. I'm sure they're worth it but thats still pretty steep especially considering my original ao aviators were only like 100 on amazon. I just bought a pair of Randolphs too recently from a sale they were having. I can't justify getting another pair so soon again especially in that price range :(

The new Saratoga is not the same as the original ones like worn by JFK. They changed the shape to a more rounded lens. Not near as cool looking as the original.
