What I really like about this is that it's not just another restrictive "guide" to which sunglasses match your face shape, but rather an impressive showcase that you are free to wear any frames if you size them right. A refreshing approach.
@hespokestyle4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much. Yeah, those guides are bogus to an extent. It's all about the frame size and your confidence wearing them.

great point on the size. I'm also not a big guy, and most glasses made me feel like i was somehow wearing my father's sunglasses, when i got my first pair of properly sized (52's for me) everything finally clicked. I tend to wear RayBans because i just like them, and they fit, and had to just get over the fact they are everywhere. A rose by any other name....

I am also fond of the idea of wearing sunglasses according to it's size and not thinking so much about it's shape. Although the shape of your glasses counterbalance or emphasize the face features, it's possible to wear any shape as long as it doesn't look way out of proportion. My favourites on your collection are the Persol 649 and the Chopard.

I thought about many different ways to say this but decided to say it as it is: I read a comment awhile back about how conversations now are being more technology involved. It's as if the evolution of language is increasingly becoming more expressed through technology. Whereas once it was through face to face. This got me thinking about 'language' and 'conversations'. For example if I met you in person Brian, I'd love to talk about philosophy, how it has evolved and the current state and which is accepted more. For instance how Nihilism is now gaining momentum and is being displayed more often in cinema. For example 'Joker', 'Shegure' from no country for old men. Then I'd love to talk about 'Hegelian Dialectics'. That's when it hit me, even as I write this to you Brian, I never truly had a good, honest, deep, intellect conversation with anyone face to face. If at all the most emotional depth of a conversation would be through 'memes', it's fun to read and often good source to laugh at but it gets strange when the langauge used for conversation gets filled with 'lols', 'derp', 'simp', etc. Even as I type this, I first mentioned I'll 'say' it like it is but I have written these words not 'said' any of these words to you face to face. Final words: Its a great strength to use humor. At your life situation. It gives you strength. But the main point being is the most intimate, intellect, thought provoking conversations have left the natural way and if so is it a good or a bad thing? Would be a great topic if you run out of ideas to discuss wherever you want to Brian.Take care, stay safe man. Love your content.

Haha what timing, I was just going over your old sunglasses video. It's a great collection, Brian! I've got a pair of Ray-Ban aviators and a pair of wayfarers from Karl Lagerfeld, but the wayfarers have reflective coating on them which makes them a bit too cool for everyday use I think. The sun's out a little longer and taller here in NY so maybe I'll invest in one more for every day use - perhaps a more toned down wayfarer? Anyway the new videos have been great, it must be difficult to come up with new ideas in these difficult and weird times. Hope you keep up the excellent work! - Han
