First off, with a name like "Leonardo" you have the pressure of having to measure up artistically. I think that you do wonderfully! Second, I love the easy to follow instruction and demonstrations which I can use immediately. And third, you have the coolest accent EVER!

I watched a couple of your videos and immediately knew you were a great instructor but, I literally started to cry from joy when I found that you had a video for shading. I've been having problems with shading for a very long time and this video has helped me so much. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart :)

I did well, even taught art at 2 colleges. I later broke my neck and now have to start from square 1 again, learning how much pressure to use, controlling the pencil, etc. now that my nerves feel differently than before, building new neural paths. TY for the inspiration, it's kind of frightening facing a white sheet again (it's been a while). Your art is outstanding.

I really enjoy your step-by-step tutorials. They are very clear, full of simple techniques that are easy to follow. I appreciate all the work you are doing in bringing your tutorials to the public so that beginners like me have a chance to learn the how-tos and whys of drawing and painting. Thank you so much for making these available to the public for a very affordable price😊!

I've got to be honest, normally when I can't hardly understand someone speaking, I'll skip right over them and move on to someone I can understand (Midwest American here) but with you, you're so funny and animated, your tutorial was easy to follow and I found myself WANTING to strain to understand what you were saying. This was really helpful! Thanks for making this video. I've been struggling for years, trying to figure out shading. I am a book learner artist ... Aka, I have to study to draw, I wasn't just born with the gift, so it's taken me many many years just to be able to figure the basics out. It's not as easy as history, or things like that, in my opinion. It takes a lot more practice than memorization in my opinion.

There were some dark spots left from the graphite. Sometimes that happens because of the irregularity of the paper or because one presses differently or the lead is not at its best point... If you look at the drawing there were some darker spots, which I cleaned up with the eraser.

Silverbolt AJ Fibd a point where you want a light source, and pretend it’s shining from that only. The shade where you think the light wouldn’t get to. Even if you are worn as long as it’s consistent it’s ok

Would you mind telling me what pencil your using here and where I can buy them please? It looks like a mechanical pencil ? But not like the ones I've seen here in my home town. Would love to get one. Thanks again.

a kneaded eraser takes away graphite by a push and pull motion where a regular eraser rubs graphite away so "pulling dark the spots" means just evening the graphite tone with a kneaded eraser.
