To me season 2 was SHOCKING, CHILLING and AMAZING. My jaw dropped during that ending. I love them all, no side characters here, this show is close to actual perfection. Also, please, showrunners, if you're reading this, keep Ben Barnes in the show. Somehow, even tho his ending was such poetic justice I still rooted for his survival, he's a big part of the show.

Interesting how they mold Alina’s powers being polluted by darkness but draw that idea from the books when she was able to draw upon Aleksander’s powers (as told by David in the books they shared more than dreams etc but could draw on each others powers). However, I am very disappointed she bought Mal back to life. It’s as if Baghra knew the price she would pay because her father did it to her sister and that’s why she warned her and told her to promise she’ll not, I also think that’s why Mal does not feel their true star connection because if you recall Mal was in his version of paradise in the meadow fields where they use to go when they was younger but as Alina brings him back to life his pulled from there and their connection is lost; so I think the price of her using merzost is more than her powers being polluted but effects on Mal (which can lead to her having to kill him again to reset balance) but I guess we will see in season 3. I also think that Nikolai’s nishevo’ya wound is a source of darkness that Alina may also be pulling from too which evidently shows they are more connected in their paths/stories than ever as the only person Alina has risked killing anyone for is Mal; so the way she came to Nikolai’s defence like that has more to the story. They can even use the fact her powers are turning dark to change her hair colour to how it is in the books ice blonde or blonde). Aleksander is definitely still alive and Baghra might possibly be too, I did also read that the darkling might have possess inside Alina and came to her defence with the Cut just like how his nishevo’ya use to come to defend him but I guess time will tell. Nikolai’s dawning Aleksander’s colours at his coronation was a good twist, from wearing green (the royal family’s colour), brown, white and even blues showcases that his innocence is gone and the adventurous, playful kind side is slowly slipping away by the wound made by the nishevo’ya which plays into his season 3 storyline (that correlates with the King of Scars book) of him having mental effects and changes instead of physical ones as his tone and energy when talking to the papparat seemed more sinister and conniving especially regarding the day he choice to do his coronation. The bee landing on Zoya definitely confirms her story plot and how she meets the saints, I hope they use this to also introduce Ulla (Aleksander’s half sea creature sister) because her story is very interesting even though it’s short. Regarding Genya I really hope she gets her happy ending, she’s been through a lot and deserves that, if you watch tv series the saying goes if there’s no body then the person could possibly be alive so that is the case for David. I love how they intertwined the Six of crows with the main plots in the show and did it once again with the drug, with Nina and Matthias I hope they tie that end of their story up next season but change his fate because that would just have been a waste of a character. Lastly, I think they was setting up a romance for Inej and Tolya if you notice when she gets on the flying ship they have a moment especially as they hold hands when he helps her board (which mirrors the difference between her and Kaz), I hope they do explore that because I feel they get each other more and have more similarities than we think

I preffered Alina having all this power but so mad but also so good. Because now no one will follow her. She was a saint and now she's become someone to fear. The grisha won't follow her, the humans will fear her, the believers will go mad, knowing their saint is gone. She gave up everything and she didn't even get mal back

[KOS AND ROW SPOILERS] Sankta Elizaveta has the power to control the bees but most importantly she is the one who preserved the Darkling's body. So technically he dies but Elizaveta has plans to resurrect him like in KOS.

Ignoring most of the book direction. I actually kinda hope Nikolas and Alina get together if their is a season 3. I like the idea of them being this power couple that want to improve their kingdom and protect it. Also based on season 2 ending, they both seem to be affected and inflicted with the Darling's power upon his death. Their is so many different directions they can take such a development. Them bonding over it, maybe Nikolas being affected by the Darkling's consciousness etc. Also personally I honestly hated Mali and Alina's relationship, I felt like it wasn't really this epic love, they made it out to be. It felt dry and lacking in so many aspects, so I honestly think it works with them separating and having their own storys. Also I like the idea that the price for bring him back from death was their love and innate connection, but that just my theory. Also I feel Alina character is too powerful and important to really stick with Mali. As they shows says, it felt like she was meant for more. I mean she is an actual saint, so the idea of her growing comfortable and confident in her power. And becoming a True queen that improves and protects her country, seems the perfect direction to develop her character.

This was one of my favourite series growing up. I’m glad it’s finally getting so much success 😭 And the crows blended in so seamlessly in the story, the second season was truly one of the best things I’ve watched. From the writing to the beautiful scenes to the dialogue. It was so incredible to watch the pages come to life Yes, I do wish that Zoya’s story would be shown in the next season especially with Nikolai’s growing darkness and I’m excited to see Nina and Matthias next season too However the weird thing they did at the end with inej and tolya was so weird. Like I was screaming nooooo the whole scene 😢

Not the smartest tool in the shed is she? Trading light for dark magic? Dull as a cardboard saw. Wonder if she'll ever get it back. You know the saying "Once you go black you never go back" something like that. 😅 Imagine what she could have been if she had stayed with the light? 400+ years of darkness and she's the first to come along with light and in less than one day she trades it. Wow. Anyone tell her bringing people back from the dead is never a good idea? Too late now. I mean Baghra(Darklings mom) who KNOWS dark magic as she was born with it told her to never mess with it. Warning enough for me. Someone born and is the GOAT in dark magic (besides her dad) telling you to never go there? Got it.

King of scars and rule of wolves spoilers! It's been a while since I read those two books so I don't exactly remember the details. I don't think Zoya will have the ability to control bees. As it's said in the video, it's Sanka Elizaveta's ability. And she's in RoW (maybe in KoS too, I don't remember now). She, also with saints Jurij and Grigori, has been imprisoned in the fold. And they... interact with Zoya and Nikolai. And who read the books knows what happens then. So I don't think Zoya is going to have her power. I think we're going to see the saints.

Love the ending it was perfect I feel like Mal is so boring in the book ,and show no hate to Archie, and I always wanted Alina to be solo girl boss so I kinda like the whole she's gonna be a queen ,and Mal getting some character development. Nikolai ate everyone up ,and I'm so read for A KOS C six of crown spin off I wonder what role Alina will play tho because I love Zoyalai. I think they kept Alina to make a disguised season 3 which is really just kos x six of crown I can def see the apparat creating a cult with Alina the merzost backfiring in the next season, so Alina, and mak actually die, and become " martyrs before saints.

Honestly season 2 crammed way too many books into one season and was rushed so much. I wish they would have stuck to each season being one of the books because it worked so well for season 1. And for all of the characters to go separate ways (like HOW can you split up six of crows). I get that they had to combine the whole of the Grishaverse and commend them on that, but it was so rushed that all my favorite scenes from the books that made it on screen felt lackluster and rushed through. I still enjoyed parts of it, but here’s hoping they do the books justice if they get picked up for more seasons, and I REALLY want them to get more seasons (and the six of crows spin-off if nothing else) I don’t want anything left open-ended.

To any mourning that "Darklina" wasn't endgame... You do realize that's the whole point of the dynamic in the first place? It's doomed from the start, because Aleksander/Kirigan/the Darkling is an utter bastard who ruins any chance of an epic love story with Alina by being a creepy groomer who sets out to control her. To own her. That's not love. That's not healthy. And thankfully, it's not endgame.

I disagree. Of course I don't think a romantic relationship is possible in the traditional sense of the term, but don't you see it's supposed to be more than that ? Kirigan has lived hundreds of years, probably had countless of lovers he watched grow old and die, and I think that defines him more than his desire to protect Grishas at all cost. I think his cause with the grishas is actually a side effect of him being immortal and in desperate need of a purpose in his life. Of course his character isn't "good", since he is the only one who will survive nothing really matters to him in the end, that's why he has no moral compass. Whereas Alina is young, self absorbed and short sighted. She is naive and self-righteous like a typical heroic fantasy good guy. She can be because she hasn't experienced what Kirigan experienced, that would make sense. But I can't help but wonder why this isn't developed more in the story. The plot focuses on the pressure she feels about being the sun summoner and her mal!angst, and it's like she absolutely isn't processing the fact that she will never die, which bizarre. Kirigan's point of view feels more organic for me, and her killing him with no empathy or hesitation like he was a bond villain felt hollow and ridiculous.

I completely agree, not once did they give zoya a single moment of screen time to leave a presence she was kept out of the final battle until halfway through and when she did arrive she barely do anything to help, and her entire storyline I was hoping to would come to pass with the next season but with Alina staying I don’t think it will happen which is incredible sad because she is my favorite character and zoya/nikolia are not just a perfect couple but the rulers that ravka needs!!

And I think I actually prefer it with Alina and Nikolai being a potential couple, hell I liked them more then mali. However I do agree they shouldn't disregard zoya's stroy and character. They writes have said they are treating the show almost like fanfiction of the source material. As it is the only way to may use of the multiple characters, world building and actors talents. I hope the give Zoya a nice strong story line, with her maybe being a general or army lead etc. However I think from the shows point of view, Alina and Nikalos make alot of sense to develop. For example for season 3, they will have alot of things form season 2 that could realistically make them very close. Their in a political marrigage(where Nikalous already has strong feelings for her), they both want to the best for Rangnar, making them united in their goals and motivations. They both already have strong companionship and trust in one another.(Nikalous talking about how he is most likely and bastard and without claim to the thrown, her talking about Mali being the fire bird). Additionally both of them seem to have inherited or been affected by the darklings power upon his death. All thses factors besides the plot and characters inherit chemistry make them a highly likely power couple for season 3. Anyway that just my ranting, I hope they make a season 3, so much potential.

omg can't agree more...!! in every shadow and bone promo on socials i'd comment about how helnik was so little 😭 i've been waiting for them the most 💔💔 the changed part, too. i had to think and questioned myself a lot, like when inej was hurt and kaz kinda do her wound i went, "wait, is this THE bathroom scene?!?!! HUH? IS IT, THOUGH??!?!?" the crows' story are all too fast-paced except for kaz's revenge moment.

Season 2 has combined book 2 and 3, and they have departed from plotline in the books. In book both Mal and Nikolai dies. If I remember correctly, As Alina kills Mal instead of her powering up, she loses all her power and everyone on her side powers up that leads to the defeat of dark side. The darkling however is killed by the dagger in the book as has been shown in the season

Spoiler alert You can continue watching the show, from what book readers have told me. he won't be gone forever.... The Bee IS actually a reference. From what book readers have told me, the saint that is associated with bees was a past love interest of the Darkling and will try and resurrect him... I don't know if she will be successful but from how they worded their comment it sounded like she was successful and he'll be back. 🤷‍♀️ Since they specifically put that bee into that scene it sounds like that is where things are going to go. So it's most likely that we're going to see him again at some point and not just through flashbacks like a lot of people think will happen. we will have to wait and see... they might change things from how things played out in the books... as they have already done so within the show. But since the Bee is there during the pyre scene.... That's got to mean SOMETHING, right?

I want the show to keep going, but the writing in this season was BAD. Yes, it was called a "fan fiction" at one point, but it wasn't even a GOOD fic 😩 The way they neglected Inej's trauma/character, killed of Helen (WHO'S LITERALLY INEJS PEKKA ROLLINS) , butchered wesper dynamic, discarded the value of Kaz's revenge, deprived US from the satisfaction that came with it in the books. It was absolutely inconsistent and illogical

Honestly this is why six of crows should get a separate show, bc of how my favorite scenes were butchered. They included stuff that happened in CK instead of SoC, which literally does not make sense. And they really did inej dirty. I feel like the reason she has a brother instead of her family in the series is just so she could be Kaz's character foil, but she is HER OWN CHARACTER. Why did they made her hallucinate of Kaz, when they were poisoned when she most definitely would worry about her family/trauma more?.. AND yes omg they killed Helen OFF SCREEN. I read the first book before the first season was released and I hated the book but loved the series. I didn't read sequels because of that, so I don't really know if the changes were for the better or worse, but I liked what I saw. I didn't think it was too fast. Even, i would've cut 5 and 6 episode a bit.

same here!! i read shadow and bone like... 7 years ago..?? and couldn't continue. but SoC duology i devoured it like crazy haha! i remember almost nothing about the book when i watched season 1 but it oddly feels nostalgic and comforting...? so i rewatched the 1st ep immediately after finishing the last lol. really love the show. season 2, though!! oddly, it doesn't give me that nostalgic vibe despite the crows' moments i clearly remember from the books brought to life... 😅 but it was great! and intense!!! plot-wise and emotionally 💔

Another thing that Doesn't make sense in the last episode is WWHYYY DID THE FJERDANS SEND A GRISHAA TO KILL THE KING? They have strong disgust for Grisha, they treat them as witches. It doesn't make sense that they'll imploy a Grisha. They literally have a special armies to capture and " get them into trials" to be later executed. It goes against their religion. In the books the shu hans were the ones to first utilize jurda parem as a stimulant for their grishas. But the grisha that crashed the coronation was speaking fyerdan.

I think maybe she was just a grisha who happened to be fjerden and was upset that the coronation was being held on the holiday of her culture. 🤷‍♀️ Because yeah I wouldn't make sense that they would send her because they HATE grisha... So I don't think it was them who sent her to kill everyone. I think she just did it because it was super duper disrespectful to hold the ceremony on holiday. But also we do know that some heartrenders are taught to speak different languages, like Nina can,... So she could have just been a heartrender that could speak fjerden.

I think they're simply kicking Alina and Mal's end-game down the road a little. If they would have followed the book 100% faithfully, Alina and Mal would be out of the story as Alina lost her powers and they "retired" back to the orphanage. By not quite resolving them yet, they get to be on the show a bit longer.

Alina and Mal were supposed to leave and live in hiding together. Now she is still engaged to Nikolai. How is this gonna affect the Zoyalai storyline? Because they are a power couple, that woman is THE QUEEN OF RAVKA, and I love Alina but she lacks the determination and strategic mind to be the queen. Maybe in the next season Alina will leave in her own journey to Shu, and meanwhile the KOC storyline with Zoya and Nikolai will take place.

​@BrainPilot , we'll see, I was not happy with the last episode, I had GoT season 8 flashbacks. You've got Mal off "finding himself" after dying for Alina, his love of his life, like ok. Kaz who has serious mental issues, which Inej both understands and somehow walks away from as if he can just stop having those issues. Nina who runs back to get Mathias out of prison with an order from the king, which of course is ignored and she's thrown out, but then the next shot of her is with the rest of the crows listening to Kaz about a new important mission, I assume setting up season 3, fuck Mathias I guess, he can rot in prison until seasin 3. Nikolai is now what? Infected by the shadow? As is Alina from I guess using merzotz to bring Mal back, though I didn't hear her say any incantation, but Nina said it wasn't her so now Alina is the new black heretic....I guess. The tempo of the last episode was shit, they destroyed the fold and Kerrigan in the first 15 minutes of the episode, I'm guessing because it's not the end, setup for season three amped up baddie Grisha on drugs instead. It was poorly done imo.
