Yes, by firing chaos spear you get rid of air drag making you practically glide through the air without repercussion. It’s very hard to pull off effectively though as it’s not just spear spam, you need to control your movement and where you’re going

Using chaos spear preserves your arial momentum, letting you move faster and further. If you jump, your top speed gets cut short after a while to make precise platforming easier. Using chaos spears overrides this, letting you go much further than intended, and allowing you to skip huge chunks of the stage.
