What a great game, and what an great finish! Instead of 'The End' and rolling credits we're treated to a 25 minute epic that was VERY well done. A great musical score as well. We've gone from 'Pong' to this. Amazing.

I actually cried during the ending. The fact that you put yourself through all that, sacrificed everything, and even became death itself all for your great love; and she wont ever know. It was all too much for me to bear. Outstanding game, I'll have to buy a ps3 just so I can play its spiritual successor, The Last Guardian.

I just beat the game like a few minutes ago. That game was awesome. I loved the ending. It was very sad. It was more dramatic on my widescreen tv with a high volume and the controller vibrating. That was a great idea for an ending. I'm still in the wow feeling. God that was a good game.

The ending was amazing, and I don't think they could have done any better. Just cause its sad doesn't mean its bad. I'm glad it wasn't a super happy ending where everything turned out so great for everyone. I especially liked how he had to give up his life to bring hers back, ultimate sacrifice.

@ADCVirgo: The woman's voice is still audible in Dormin. As he's transforming you can hear it for the first half. After it's done, it sorta becomes his echo, but it's still there. There's no proof Mono is the Queen from Ico. They don't even look alike.

This Game was 100% Greatness! the epic fights, musics, and story! it really was an fantastic game! The Ending was really dramatic doing the start of "The Ending" but when i see The Wandter turned into a baby it's like a really huge loss... he was such a brave hero but looking at the possitive site he has a new life to begin once again! This Game was Amazing and i enjoyed every moment of it! my gratitude to the creaters!

Best ending ever, for one of the best games of all time. Music composition is magnificient, art direction is unrivaled, and gameplay mechanics are some of the best seen in a game. I think their PS3 game will ridiculizes 99% of videogames released to date.

I played, this and am ashamed that I never played ico. Fortunately the ico and shadow of the colossus collection is coming out soon, so I'll finally get to see the follow up to this magnificent game. :)

the fountain of which the sword was thrown into they were destroyed, and when the main character was pulled in all the evil was removed which was all but a small child by this point

i think Wander knew exactly what would happen to him when he started killing every collossi... but he desired to bring Mono to life , so he would gladly give his own life to revive her. (even though he didnt die, he was reborn). this game is just epic in every sense

The final scene with the black bird with white striped wings (color is important) flew after the white birds. Like wander, he is the rebel of his group (the one with Lord Emon), and his heroism and ambition was his downfall. But even so, the bird flies on. Although Wander never got to see Mono wake up, there's still hope. He didn't get exactly what he wanted, but life has a way of giving back in weird ways. What he does have is hope; hope for atonement, hope to find peace in this sullen earth.

The part where Agro fell off the bridge on the way to the 16th colossus got me dead emotional like "Noooooo Agroooooooo!" :'( then I rejoiced when i saw him back at the temple with just a limp

That eagle witnessed everything from beginning to end! The game started with him and ended the same way... I wonder what Ueda is going to do in The Last Guardian, because in order to best this game he will need to top perfection!

@BadWaterTV ICO was the first game that the developers, "Team ICO", made in 2002 I think. Then they made Shadow of the Colossus in 2005, or 2006. To this day they still have only released these two games, but hopefully they will finaly realease The Last Guardian for PS3 which they have been working on for a long time. They should most certainly sell these games in America. If you have a PS3 you should definitely buy "ICO & Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection".

on the back of the temple in the shadowed part, you gotta diagonal jump so you need a huge energy bar, I had to beat the game like twice to get up there.

Ico is like a puzzle game that fumito ueda designed b4 SOtC it takes place in a giant castle.You play as a guy wih horns and you have to escape the castle with this girl named yorda.I think its only avvailable in europe now..it used to be available in Canada,U.S. and so forth.

Fumito Ueda has said that the only way Dormin could save Wander from Dormin's presence within him was to return Wander to a state of absolute innocence. But, sadly, in the process, Wander is scarred with horns, which is why Ico was horns, in Ico.

@Everyone who doesn't get it. Basically, Shadow of the Colossus is a prequel to Ico. Ico is the sequel to Shadow of the Colossus. If you haven't figured it out by now, Wander gets corrupted after he defeats each Colossus. The Colossus were guardians and blah blah blah. This explains why in Ico, the boy has horns, because it's actually Wander.

Damnit this game was one of the most amazing I have ever played before. Based on the ending, a sequel is possible, and I sure do hope that the makers of this game are thinking of giving a Shadow of the Coloaasus 2 a try. Even if it doesn't actually become released, they could still say that they took a shot at it.

I must admit, this was one interesting ending to say the least, it seems to symbolize the cycle of life, death, and rebirth, in my books, I agree with those who say that the baby is Wander, he didn't really "die" per se, instead, he was reborn to be cleansed of his deeds.

Ico. I think this is actually a prequel. The girl (Mono) finds a baby with little horns on its head, the same kind that the protagonist from Ico posesses. The producer of the game also revealed that the world of Ico and the world of Colossus is the same.

What I took away from the ending is that somehow the boy was given a second chance (for the atonement the one character described) by being transformed back into a baby, symbolic to new and innocent life. When the woman goes into the garden, for some reason the animals are attracted to her, as if no threat is present. It definitely revolves around a theme of the relationship between humans and nature, as the boy paid the

The ending to me is very complicated. It took me a few years to figure out. I would always return to this game, very fun. I think its that if you enter anything deemed sacred, in this case i use the laws of basic society we live in today. If we overcome those who stand in our way, they will abuse the gentle nature of your intention, and try to corrupt us, when really they find salvation through you. Those you went against will hate you, and will stop you, but in the end, you have revolutionized.
