I like how the music in this game isn't victorious "hElL yEaH, I fINaLlY kILLeD tHiS fCKeR" boss music. It's very somber and mournful for the bosses. And it makes you think back to the nature of most of these beasts. Most of these beasts are ineffectual. Some of these creatures don't even attack you until you attack it. Case in point, Phalanx.

While Phalanx is the fan-favourite, and for good reason, it was the end of Avion that really got to me. Watching it quietly dive down to die in the lake, realising I'd killed something majestic that had meant no harm to me until I provoked it

Malus has the worst death bec jacksepticeye said when he was playing this game that malus could see each clossi die and he knew when it was his turn

From how tall Malus is he was likely watching every fight and when the wanderer showed up to him, he knew that he was about to die, hence the reason when you're on the ground he hits you with everything he has and always knows where you are but once you reach him he seems to just give up. And not really try and do anything other that get you off of him by moving around. He could just hit you off but he doesn't. I feel bad for all of them. I've never played the game but most of the deaths of the colossi are pretty much telling you "Congrats, you just killed a gargantuan beast... that was minding it's own business, And the only reason it attacked you was because it was defending itself." So if you think about it, who's the real monster, the wanderer or the colossi?
