Fun fact, you can actually drown in this remake. I learned that the hard way playing against Hydrus. So here's what happened: There was actually a strategy (which in hindsight, I think only worked in the original Playstation 2 version and Playstation 3 remaster) where you can pass the first two electric spines without taking them out, and getting the final one since it protects it's head. I tried it, and it actually worked. Despite the fact I lost more than half my health in the process of walking/swimming/crawling past those two spikes. And I got to the head, and took away almost all of it's health in that one trip. Guess what? It decided to go down deeper, and I had no choice but to let go. Then, while Wander was trying to float back up to the surface, he started taking rapid ticks of damage and looked like he was gasping for air since the stamina bar was pretty much empty. I was like "Wait, is Wander drowning?!?!" And then he drowned and died before he even reached the surface of the water

I don't believe this at all. I have spent minutes underwater and have never drowned. The more likely thing is that because you avoided the electric spines, they shocked you as you let go.

Not only are jump stabs faster but it's also easy to defeat it in one round. He can easily be defeated in less than 2:30.

Important note I discovered a glitch where he (if life just hates you) comedically zooms his head beneath the surface whenever you get close to his vital spot, making you have to climb to it as he bounces like a jumping bean It wasn’t frustrating, just REALLY funny

fun fact: you dont have to stab the first 2 electrical things and you can get past them so you can do it in 1 cycle

Had a couple tries where Hydrus would do a barrel roll when i would get back on between spires 2 & 3. Messed the whole run up each time. Bad rng im guessing bc he doesnt always do it

Somehow i managed to kill him on the first try, like, i didn't had to call his attention twice, i think it's related to the amount of damage you do to those shock spikes, i tried fast stabs that do less damage

Brian, if this game is made by the same company that did the Nathan Drake trilogy, why are the controls so flaming well frustrating. They should have used the same format. Even the horse controls are so.......... slow they don’t even go in the direction that they are told at first. Galloping turning and other stuff. Great video and good direction as always. 👍

Cause the constrols are completely the same as the original game. The kept them. They have only recreated the original game from 0, everything else remains the same.

It's pretty easy. Most things are fairly simple to do, and they can be done in a single playthrough. The only thing that sucks is doing all the time trials, maxing your stats, and praying at all the shrines. Those trophies can be time-consuming/tedious, but they're still fairly easy when compared to other games.
