Little to no voice acting, no annoying, repetitive background music, no dumb character archetypes.. just the wind and cries of birds.. The scenery is also something of beauty to admire. Just epic, ground-breaking battles and a rich underscore. This game is a solid 9/10, imo.

I heard that the map was made for 16 colossi, if they would've had 24 colossi (like they wanted to) they woul've had a completely different map. But it was a long time ago, and this seems to be just a HD version of the game with 60 fps, so I doubt that they'll add more colossi. Or are they adding new colossi?

You understand that just because a product is re released doesn't mean that it is a cash grab i mean shadow of the colossus didn't sell well all the games made by team ico have been passion products from start to finish i'm not trying to defend a company but rather a studio and producer and hopefully the game may sell well so that we get more artistic game like shadow. Also the ps3 version suffered from a grip issue and several pop in problems that need to be fixed.

After I played a little of this game on the PS2 and then finally beat it when it came out on PS3, I can proudly say this is one of the Greatest games I have ever played. 32 scrapped colossi because they were broken in some way or they overwhelmed the PS2 hardware (seems like a lousy excuse, it was totally competent - it just may have been more prone to slowdown than the other already laggy fights). Some colossi didn't fit into their areas, some were unbalanced and some just didn't work or weren't enjoyable. They halved the colossi number from 48 to 24, then 16 of those made the cut.

This game was my childhood! On Ps2 I beat all of them on hard mode time attack (ps2 has lower fps so it was easier) just because it was so cool to fight them! Even the little touches like climbing the tower, finding and collecting fruit, and a never ending mystery! To see it again like this is a dream come true! I really hope that everyone gets back into shadow of the colossus and it gets the full recognition it deserves!

When I played this game in my childhood it changed my perception of emotions, I could feel more things, I was more sensitive ! I literally teared up seeing this. SotC was a childhood favorite of mine on my PS2, and it has a very special place in my heart. This looks absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to play it! For those being ridiculous saying "Oh boy, another rehash" who cares? Fact is, I and sooooo many are getting something we've wanted since the PS4 was released! I actually thought about SotC right before Sony's press conference thinking "Man, imagine if they made SotC for PS4." Here I was thinking it was just wishful thinking! CJAdams97 fomito ueda originally planned 48 colossi then it got cut to 24. the extra 8 were the beta colossi which are in the art book. but id love to idea of a hundred but the map would need to be like 20 times bigger which would be amazing

For anyone new to this amazing game- a tip. A lot of people complain about controlling agro, the horse. Imagine pulling on the reigns of a horse and leading the horse left and right. Dont forget that when you are riding the horse through narrow passage ways, agro will control herself on her own and follow a path. Steering in those narrow ways will make her bump into walls and get annoying. Just let her do her thing sometimes.

I'll say that the gaming experience is really close to Journey ! If you wanna play SOTC, don't rush the game before finishing it, because it will make you enjoy the end a lot of more, trust me , take your time :) The game was on ps2, so the map is not big compare to other games even if it was gigantic by the time it was released (around 15 minutes on horse to cross from an extremity to another I would say) And I won't say it is hard, since I was able to do it as a child ^^

bobshigity there's still some things that make it seem like a remaster and on PlayStations short clip on Twitter it is saying remaster. However I can tell by how the way Wander moves his animations are different in terms of running. The other thing is that it's kinda crazy the cutscenes are basically shot for shot which I've actually been trying to compare them with this trailer lol

TheGaminator well thats bluepoints thing. They"re good at remastersand putting the necessary tweaks in them too. They did ico and shadow for ps3, MGS collection, nathan drake collection and brought gravity rush from vita to ps4. Also bluepoint is saying its a remake but they are probably using the same assets just making them look better

Imagine only if Japan Studio (Team Ico) was able to collect the 16 excluded colossi that already have the designs ready like Adar Flam and Black Bird and 16 others that were only excluded because it did not fit in the Disc of Ps2, would be like the dream of the generation Playstation 2 being performed. I mean as i said somewhere else... they CAN do it, if they rework the "unfair" colossi mechanics of the excluded ones of course, they could put them in but as post game content, like, when you finish the game you can open a door somewhere(like a door that was behind the temple that you couldn't open) and then go down to a hallway with their statues, and then you fight them in Time Attack mode, that's all they have to do, it would take a lot of work and the game would be like 70 GB but you know, it would be cool

Tyranno in the original version for ps2 they cut a lot of colossus it was planned to have 24-32 colossus but the game will be so heavy then they only put 16

Because of the dramatic effect and surprise they wanted to give during the launch of the remake. The mini choir is arguably the most epic song in the game that most players of the original PS2 game remember, including me, called Revived Power.
