Shadow of the Colossus - Wander wind effects

Back in January 2010 I found the 'wind' code that blows Wander back (as in the final cut scene where you have control of Wander). That is, I could turn the wind on or off in the 'normal' game - see here:

It was a very short video, so I decided to find that old code again, but this time I dug a little deeper. I can now make the wind blow East and West as well as North, but strangely not South? I can also make Wander fly up by locking multiple wind codes at the same time. Enjoy!

Notice at 1:13 Wander's cape stops blowing! This is because I can turn the wind off (in part) at the Entrance wind tunnel. Try passing that little bush you see on the right side of the tunnel in the retail game.

The fact Nomad is still looking for secrets and fun facts in such an old game such as this is so amazing to me. I really wish I could actually see a video of the full model of the monkey that was supposed to be one of the collossi tho.

@@lemming9984 not much is known. as far as i know there is only a screenshot to show, though apparently people say we should be getting some news this year

@@lemming9984 There is! We know very little of it. It would appear very early on it would've have been a "Beauty and the Beats"/ fantasy type story, but recently GenDesgin have updated their logo with screenshots from ICO,SotC,TLG and an unknown project that seems to be a sci-fi venture.

It is nice seeing Nomad Colossus upload videos still in 2023 :) I do miss Pikol's videos though too. If I ever stop commenting one day its because I'm dead lol. I would love some more modern videos showing off the tower from far away in the PS2 and PS4 versions, and showing the temple/top of the tower up close and the comparisons between low LoD from the distance to high LoD high detail while up close (also showing both the super bright blurry lights and without them so its possible to see), and show how to do both. I need to go back and find those videos showing off the area beyond the windy tunnel you cannot see, and the areas from the intro you're never meant to explore. Unless you want to do a newer video on those as well. It is mind blowing how large I thought this game was 15-20 years ago but now when I look at the original version it seems so small and low polygon/low detail. 3:27 ngl that was really creepy haha. I am still curious how you managed to get to the top of the tower and if there are any emulator cheat codes I can input to teleport around or climb any structure like you did in that one video. It is on the bucket list of exploring the top of that dang temple myself!

Nomad still waiting for the earliest builds of Shadow Of The Colossus. The early 2004 version with the Phoenix Colossus or that other bigger version of the Phoenix with the long neck while standing on a crater. Devil, and Roc colossi too. Or the even earlier build with the blue vest and brown hair Wander fighting Sirius, Earth Worm, Spider, maybe the early alternate spider design.
