How do you kill the one with leg guards?

With the leg guard Furnace Golems, what worked for me was throwing a Hefty Fire Pot into the basket of the golem (top part) and it instantly killed it. You need to get to a higher elevation to throw a pot into one.

@Hunterplayz4808 Yeah, I just saw a video on it. I knew the elevation was important but I wasn't sure on what to do with it.
