I was doing some testing with the horned warrior swords. You can free aim the ash of war, and it goes out *really* far. Alternatively, you can point it straight at your feet to center it on you as a "get off me" tool. Also, if you use it on a ledge it will hit people below you, and (although it's a lot trickier) you can also hit people on ledges above you with it too.

Quality builds are eatin’ good in the DLC, great to see them finally start to become somewhat relevant again in souls PvP. I was super indecisive about what build to do the DLC with, ended up settling on a quality build a few hours in and I do not regret it one bit. RL168 is amazing for DLC invasions with a quality build, Relanna’s Twin Blades can really put in work at that level. Also, quality nagakiba w/ storm blade rips with the changes to quality AoW damage scaling plus the new gear that boosts storm attacks. If even the tip of the kiba hits along with the projectile it does crazy damage.

I did some invasions last night with that solitude greatsword and was absolutely whooping ass all over the place. The AOW is such a damn fine flask punish.

Shadow of the Erdtree is Elden Ring plus all the greatest hits from the SoulsBorne series, remixed into their greatest mashup bop of the summer. It's like they took the base game and said "Ok now let's add the stuff from our other games that wasn't included yet." You got the Sekiro elements with Scadutree Fragments, unlimited block tear, and spirit enemies all throughout opening area. Other enemies and areas are clearly more like Bloodborne (Belurat Gaol holy shit). And the Belurat Settlement reminds me a ton of DS3.

This "greatest hits" thing is kinda why I dislike it. I want unique new ideas, not endless callbacks. It has enough beauty and mystery going for it that I like it in the end though.

Nice. I went in with an RL139 Dex-leaning quality build with 20 Faith (Treespear build) and immediately fell in love with those curved swords.

We are soooooooo Back. (That sword is not a guaranteed drop.)

It is a guaranteed drop from the hornsent warrior in the poison swamp in Belurat 👍 It seems the weapon can also be farmed with a low drop rate from other hornsent warriors that weild it

I've been having a lot of fun with the great katana. With its moveset you can make a playstyle that is entirely pokes. The 2h running R1 is a poke. The second hit in its 2h R1 chain is a poke. And its crouch attack? A poke. And since after a running or crouch attack the game uses the second hit in your chain, you can basically string these together for an infinite poke vortex

Dont sleep on both the charged and uncharged r2 as a roll catch out of stun. Delayed jr1 is nice too. Tons of super fun mixup potential

I learned how to copy a save profile so I could have a new vagabond just for the blackgaol solitary set. Edit: I never got the horned sword drops, I did defeat the enemies though.

I found the same Horned Warrior Sword, but mine dropped from a different horned warrior guy (I think). Mine came from the horned warrior who was SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER in the same legacy dungeon (Belurat, Tower Settlement) except I got mine from the warrior who is down in the poison swamp area, in the section with a ton of fly guys. It's off to the same side where you can climb the ladder to unlock the shortcut. So maybe it's a guaranteed drop from just any one of the 3 - 4 horned warrior guys in Belurat? IDK ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I've been having a ton of fun doing invasions around lvl 160, using the Beast Claws and the Backhand Blades / Curseblade Cirque. Dying most of the time to ganks but there have been a few memorable invasions so far! Belurat is da bomb

It’s crazy how much an area changes for invasions when enemies respawn, for me that’s been why I like belurat so much
@pgh33164 ай бұрын
It is guaranteed from that guy, but it can also be dropped by other warriors that weild it. Theoretically you should be able to get a ton of them, but you don't really need that

No, Quality builds still suck. You'd get more damage out of 54 Strength and 33 Faith, with Strength for raw two-handed damage plus Faith for Golden Vow and Howl of Shabriri.
