I just got this sword today. Build's an arcane build so I can't even use it, but man was I disappointed to see it was a katana. I was hoping it'd be a straight sword based on the fight with Yoda

A lot of my friends have been complaining about these performance issues as well, but it's honestly been completely fine for me, and my pc is quite fucked up. It wasn't a cheap pc, but it's also quite outdated, plus I have like 6 drivers that I can't update for the life of me without something fucking up and me having to restore to an older version. Maybe it's cause I close every other application when playing, except for maybe discord or spotify, but the game's been feeling pretty smooth throughout. Sure hope it gets fixed soon though, so that more people can experience this gem inside of a gem.

I'm on a PC that has had no stutter issues since ER release, and the DLC has made my base game get all screwy with FPS hiccups. The DLC world itself runs fine, go figure. The map is 10/10, APPROPRIATELY SIZED open world with Dark Souls layering. Literally all I wanted ER to be. Hopefully they learned a lot of lessons from that going forward.

That's interesting because I've been having the same kind of performance issues that you described, but I'm on Xbox One. Also I've been having them for months before the DLC came out and now I'm not experiencing them in the DLC area anymore.. but it's the same for the base game areas

Just a couple of hours ago, I was getting an error that caused the game to crash after about three seconds every time I'd restart the game, and I just uploaded it to the cloud right beforehand. I didn't download the save file until I kept getting the error. I downloaded it, and it was the same error. I reset the database and reinstalled the game. It didn't fix it. Then I tried a different character, and it worked fine. Luckily, I'm on the PS4 version on PS5, so I had two save files. So, I had to use my thumb drive save file that was 40 minutes prior. It worked. If that had been the PS5 version, I'd have had to delete the character completely.

I've had the game on PC since launch, and even base game still has these stutter freezes to this day. They never fixed it. I don't know why, I don't know how, but it's bullshit and it really frustrates me.

It's good for roll-catching, and if you offhand a Great Katana you get a true combo into the light attack
