Used to be one of my favs. Natsume action games on the NES are some of the highlights of the library for me. Great presentation and gameplay, fun co-op time too. Looking forward to the remake as well. (by the way, looks like S.C.A.T. is next - they filed a trademark for it)

I've been getting into playing old games again, and I wanna say that I think it's incredible that you never stopped making playthroughs that are extremely fun to watch and reviews that are extremely fun to read. One of the best playthrough channels for sure.

Ah, this takes me back.... good times. But yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to the remake! I'm also crossing my fingers for other Natsume classics to get the remake/revival treatment, too (Shatterhand, Power Blade, Dragon Fighter, etc.). Heck, I'd even love to have a port of Omega Five if possible!

It feels like Natsume is just people from Capcom, Ultra and Konami together. It's like they all took side projects together. It looks and plays great.

Actually Natsume was founded by a few former Konami devs. They worked on Metal Gear 1 MSX2, Rush n Attack, Castlevania 1&2, Contra 1 before leaving Konami.

That was meant to be a GB version of this game until Tecmo picked it up. They called it Ninja Gaiden Shadow in NA.

This game is best when you're invulnerable. Means you can do the lightning storm attack one time per stage though.

I just love this music. By the way, the remake is completely different in style. If the original is gloomy with black and blue tones, then the new game is all bright and colorful. Strange. But I'm glad that they don't forget the classics.

I remember renting this game and beating it in the 3 to 5 days I had it. Great game, but sadly if I beat a game I rent I usually never got my parents to buy the game for me so 15 or so years later I bought a used copy for about $45 or so. Great game with memorable tunes! \m/ And yes, I am curious how the new remake is going to be. Great run by the way! \m/
