I would only like to add info about AoE. I'd mention that Psychic Link causes any targets within 40 yards to take 1/4 of the direct damage taken by your main target. So if you cast Shadow Crash, then the AoE hits because everything is affected by Vampiric touch. OR you can dot everything one by one with vampiric touch for smaller fights or when shadow crash is on CD.

Thanks! Aim for 30-35% Haste & 19-21% Mastery (roughly). Then start moving towards crit > Vers

With the raid set? Does shadow crash/ vampure touch proc the shadow word : pain effect or does it have to be solo cast?

I've just checked wowhead and nowhere does it mention having to hardcast SW: Pain. The setpiece is worded so particularly though that your next "cast" of it is affected... but I think it does count when it's applied by other spells. I'll keep searching but I think we're good!

I am a newb and I am looking for a ranged DPS where it doesnt matter if you stand in the fire. Is a SP a somewhat tanky DPS?

You’d want a plate wearer if you’re looking for a tanky dps, but generally everything standing in fire will die. No matter class or role

Great video format and really informative for a beginners. Please do more like these. Im a new player who just started getting into the content beyond leveling and finding simple video describing a class like this is amazing. Could you please make a videos about subtlety rogue and survival hunter in the future? All there is for these specs seem to be really advanced stuff, but the core concepts of the specs are nowhere to be found

Shadow priest is currently among the weakest classes in the game...All the power comes from the first set/part 2/4...However you can see for yourself that Blizz has destroyed the class..I have been active with this class since 2007 and no i remember this kind of nerf so far..You have nerf on dmg around 40%(aoe),ST is also not something special,Nerf on PI,Nerf on MD(cd 2min)...in one word,disappointing...if anyone wants to start playing SP, my recommendation is not to do that..

I think it was a knee jerk reaction from blizz. Before the classes was needlessly and absurdly over complicated. I know a lot of people liked it but a lot more complained about it. Now blizz has chopped the rotation by like 2/3rds. There was no way that wasn’t going to damage the dps to some degree.
