I think the nuke functions with the field of view, If you aren't in the field of view of the nuke you don't receive damage, is not about distance

The mines aren't supposed to be invisible, it's a glitch with using the hardware renderer instead of the software renderer. A user by the name of BEBUN posted a fix on the Steam community forums, however if you use the fix and switch to the software renderer, the mines will be floating in the air so that is something you should look out for.

No BuildGDX? That is pretty much the best version of the game. The crosshair is centered, the railgun's projectile goes where it should, 21:9 support, mine vixels are visible like in the original software mode, sprite flickering is gone, etc.

You forgot to mention that the Smoke Bomb increases the power of your fists. And don't use the crosshair, it's improperly aligned and doesn't point to where your shots go, this is a thing in the source code, and by far, no sourceport (including Classic Redux and SWP) has fixed this. The best port for Shadow Warrior is the recent community made port called BuildGDX, which supports almost all Build engine games (also supports Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Nam, Tekwar, Witchaven 1 and 2, Redneck Rampage base game and Rides Again, Powerslave and Legend of The Seven Paladins) BuildGDX has things like the minimal HUD fixed so it displays the keys and armor, has the level name pop up when you enter a new level, is way more stable than Classic Redux in my experience (Classic Redux crashed every 30 minutes, but BuildGDX way less, only 2 times in total) and has also some other things.

It always amazes me that huge company's put out these older games for $$ when the community can do so much more for free. I think I've paid for doom 1 and 2 a few times now between the Xbox versions and it coming with doom 3. Plus I found a old CD for final doom at a thrift store. 😂 new laptops have no disk drive so to play on PC without buying again its easier to just get freedoom with some mods. I know a disk drive is just $20. It's just the community does so much better.

@@TheIronFourth well that redux port was made by the same guys behind the duke nukem megaton port which also sucked, literally doesn't even have an fov slider but nightdive does a great job at re-releasing old games, hell i think the recent quake 2 remaster is better than the OG and the fan made source ports such as yamagi and KMquake2

@0marssb0m4r3 ya build games are shit to play unless it's official. I'm not a computer genius and I'm struggling getting build stuff to work. Night dive did a good job with doom 64. Very true to the original. It just chaps me to pay for things over and over again when the original devs aren't getting that money. It's just going to a corporation. I never got into quake back in the day. By the time I got a computer that could run it they were onto all the arena stuff.

Right now there are Source Ports of Shadow Warrior that are better than SWP and Redux, like BuildGDX and VoidSW, those ports have proper mouselook and other fixes.

The only reason Shadow Warrior Classic Redux version exist is make it easier to port to consoles like Switch since this version even on PC has controller support out of the box. Speaking of, we have Doom 1,Doom 2 and Duke Nukum 3D(even though it's the cursed Randy Pitchford version)along with Ion Fury on Switch but not Shadow Warrior or Blood Fresh Supply what gives. Also you can use mouse and keyboard on console with a Brook Sniper and one more thing and to not sound mean here but you should really have old Civvie 11 on KZbin show you how to play Shadow Warrior because you're worse at it then I am and that man doesn't have a pro series on KZbin for nothing ya know because old Civvie can play build engine games in his sleep.

The mines spawn underneath the map and have to be raised up above ground. I think there's a mod for it

This redux was a disapointment. The mouse look was not fully finished and the interpolotion on the video was bad aswell. Best thing about redux is probably that we got a new music track. Thank the gods we have Voidsw source port that fixes it all. Edit. I forgot to mention Buildgdx wich supports shadow warrior aswell and its solid.

As far as I know, the renderer used in this version (OpenGL) bugged out the mine placement due to how they view Voxels. You can raise the mines up using a voxel editor, but they will be fucky in software rendering.

If you have a chance to check it out WangGDX is a much better source port than SWP, and it’s far more compatible and stable than Classic Credux with more features. As for the gameplay it’s quite enjoyable but for me the racial humor was pretty cringy. At least the remake got rid of most of the racial humor. That’s the only thing I dislike about WangGDX: you cant turn off the Lo Wang dialogue, but that feature is coming in the next update.

Thx, no luck with SWP. Didnt support ultrawide, sound was like i was gargling acid & many crashes. BuildGDX works perfectly in ultrawide and no sound issues

I got the Redux Version free as a pre-order bonus for something. Probably the original Shadow Warrior remake, but I'm not sure. I don't ever play it, and don't even have it installed. It's garbage and I played it for all of four hours before ejecting it from my drive in favor of superior source ports. Use SWComplete from Gog with a source port. SWP is great, but in the future you're probably better off going with the EDuke32 port VoidSW. It's newer, and while as of this post is still in beta and unfinished, going forward it should have all the bells and whistles of SWP and Redux, plus more. Don't play Redux, don't pay for it, it's a waste of money. Blood Fresh Supply is the only Build engine redux port worth considering. DN3D "World Tour" is garbage and they took Atomic and Megaton off the market making WT the only legal option if you don't already own DN3D, and SWRedux is buggy crap. Blood FS is decent for a modern official port that's easy to install and play, but you're still better off with an original copy and a source port.
