I looked on your wish-list and saw the "Luna Somnia" Tarot Deck, and god, it is amazing. I have this as my first tarot deck, along with the oracle deck "Wild Mystic". These are very good and I highly recommend.
@Skunkk.101 Жыл бұрын
The wild mystic actually has a "Shadow Reading" section in the guidebook, so on each page it explains it clearly. It compares cards to other, gives a small sample of the mythology behind the animal represented, and is extremely beautiful. The cards are black and white with yellow accents. SO recommend. You should check it out!

i own the beyond Lumeria deck, by far the most beautiful artwork, very in depth, and as a starseed myself find it abit overwhleming with the messages that flood in with i observe the images. I sometimes start to talk in light language as that is the way I found i could energetically feel into the cards meaning.

The Black Tarot It’s also wonderful for shadow work. The images just do something to me/within me. Moonchild Tarot by Daniel Noel - Accompanied by the Yogic Path Oracle. The Oracle has the Danielle Noel artwork. They work beautifully together for shadow work.

I've been reading cards since my teens. My mom taught me on a Lenormand deck. She is from Europe. Their card reading styles are very different. I was alwsys taught that reading should be intuitive. You can do full readings from oracle or tarot. I like the different vlogs I see on shadow work. I personally just pull cards face down ask a question and concentrate. Then flip them over and study the answer.
@StormieAtlantis3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing this. On a side note I bought a lenomand deck a couple of years ago, could never quite connect with it, and gave it away about a week ago. I'd love to try again if you have a lenormand deck recommendation.

@@StormieAtlantis the gypsy witch Lenormand . My mom bought it in the 70s. Bright orange with a witch. You can get it on Amazon still for like 10 bucks. They sell them in my local metaphysical store. They have poems on them to help. It's kinda cheesy but my mom is psychic and she got great readings. She gave me her deck and another one that's different I cherish them both. Gypsy witch is more old European style cartomancy. Give it a shot.❤❤

I just picked up, The Light Seers deck at a second hand store. After not playing with any tarot decks, for over 10 years. This deck screamed at me, in a second hand store. So I got them, after I had already checked out. So I’m diving deeper into, the typical just give a reading. That I used to be asked to do. So this is my first dive into shadow work and drawing multiple cards, to explain this, that and the other. I do have numerous friends, who are also guiding me along, in this journey. Also, you freaking rock.

Because you wanted to know who is watching. I got into tarot a while back, when doing tarot spreads with friends (mainly about future and obstacles) and heard about shadow work so started researching it a bit more the last couple of weeks. Two years ago I was in therapy (age 15 back then) and apparently I have childhood trauma, potentially mental health issues that came from that but my parents didn’t allow me (and still don’t) to get any assessment. During that short form of therapy, the guy actually had me pull tarot cards and tell him what I associate with them, how I feel about them, etc. so I decided to look up shadow work with tarot cards and found your video ^^

I'm new to cardomancy and shadow work - I actually just got my 1st tarot deck today so I can start practicing. But I'm glad you made this video cause I've been wanting to incorporate using cards to help me with my own shadow and hopefully after grasping things I can help others. I've always been drawn to the darker things in life and during a pick-a-card reading on KZbin not too long ago I received the message that one of my greatest skills/strengths is that I have the ability to dive deep into the shadows and not get "freaked out". This really resonated with me so since then I've really been interested in understanding the shadow and how I can accept and incorporate my own. P.S. You are beautiful and radiant and I was immediately drawn to your video! We need more full-figured, middle-aged moms in the spotlight! We've literally been in the shadows for way too long...

I'm very late to finding this video but to answer your questions: -First time on your channel -Been doing Tarot for decades very, very casually but started getting serious about it a couple months ago -Pretty new to the term "Shadow Work" but certainly something I have been doing a long time Your rawness and realness is what earned you a sub from me. Much more relatable! While I don't particularly put a lot of weight in advice from people who are an absolute toxic mess of a person, I don't put a lot of weight into advice from people with perfect little lives that you only ever see the perfect side of either! I want to see someone who has real struggles and has found things to help them grow, people who are still taking steps to be better and better despite setbacks. That kind of strength is what is most inspiring to me and resonates with me.

It's your whole vibe and manner of speaking that makes you very real, relatable and to me, you seem very down to earth. I saw your oracle deck collection video and decided to subscribe because the way you talk about your decks and your work really resonated with me. And honestly, how you look has very little to do with the appeal of your channel or videos. Also, I am a mother of 1, I am almost 40, I connect way more with you than most other uploaders I've come across on the subject. To me, you look uniquely like you, i doubt your audience cares if you'd fit in on the cover of vogue, i'd doubt it's the audience you'd want if they did and i'd highly doubt you'd like to be on it anyways. The thing is, you do this for you, and guide others to do for them. It's all about personal growth, about being authentic, and you are exactly that to me. You look healthy, you sound sincere and honest, you are animated, you're pleasant to watch and listen to. Only positive things. Don't forget, this content makes your soul shine more than anything else babe. As someone just coming into this world, starting to purchase my first decks, thank you for sharing your videos, insights etc. They are very helpful to me

First…I clicked on this video randomly ….. typically when I do this I never watch the full video because I am definitely middle-aged going to be 50 this year and the changes in person from their 20s and thirties to 50 is huge. I am glad you decided to be authentic because especially in this spiritual path I can immediately sense fake. I can feel such a deep sense of turmoil,sadness, angst and definitely an uncomfortable vibration coming from you. I’d like to point out many ppl have thought about starting a channel… but never will because of insecurity… however you’ve pushed past the feelings of doubt so it’s obvious you’re strong. Ive been on my witchcraft journey most my life but really have put all of myself in it the last 13 years. I don’t want this to be a novel but I struggle with condensing or articulating a shortened version of what I’m trying to say. Most people in their life will never truly do shadow work, and so they will never truly have a meaningful whole life. When people think of shadow work, it’s often portrayed exactly how you have portrayed it.. dark, brutal and emotional. Everyone has a shadow it’s a part of all of us and is not going away ….. although ppl deny ignore and hide from it as long as possible …. I’d like to suggest a few books and ppl because I feel like ppl don’t quite fully understand true shadow work and will spend many years thinking that they’re working on this shadow thing when they are really not. Healing from trauma, or accepting that you have made some crappy choices is not true shadow work. True shadow work is not denying that that shadow is an integral part of who you are the goal is to embrace & understand it, so your conscious and unconscious live together in harmony thus giving your life wholeness … So the first book I’d highly suggest is -meeting the shadow -by Connie Zweig and Jeremiah Abrams All the work from Carl Jung is like opening your soul and truly understanding pretty much life. I am going to give a few more book recommendations that I actually got from a chaos witch, that is in my opinion, one of the realest genuine ppl on KZbin … I am not going to put her name because that would be disrespectful to this channels creator.. I honestly just felt like I had to be 100% about where my source of literature was found. Eastern body western mind by Anodea Judith The drama of a gifted child by Alice Miller There are so many more but I’ve already taken up to much space😂😂 Made everybody that is searching for their true self be blessed in the process. Especially the creator of this video…. Your voice is powerful… and should be heard❤

I really love your vibe! Thank you for the video. I'm really interested in starting shadow work and I want to learn more about how to use the cards to guide it. I really appreciate how genuine you are- I subscribed about 3 minutes in. Thank you 🥰

This helped me so much. I've been doing shadow work outside of tarot (through DBT and therapy), and been trying to figure out how to bring this into my readings more to stay more conscious of it during an average day. Even how you journal has helped add onto mine. Also, I LOVE the way you present your info in all your videos! When you said 'I don't know what the fuck this is trying to tell me' in that tone, I cackled loud enough to scare the cat. I'm so happy I found your channel!

Such a great idea for the journal. Glad I found your channel, there are no meaningless coincidences.

I just found you and subscribed today. I'm certainly not new to tarot and I have almost all the decks and the book that you've used in this video. I was just checking out this video and others to see what decks were being used for shadow work. I really like the spread that you have come up with and the fact that you would start with oracle cards if you are not experienced with shadow work.

I know this is an old video, but thank you so much for this video. I just started shadow work and I have been working with a couple of decks that I already own and listening to your recommendations kind of gave me a new insight into understanding how to work with those decks. I also saw your previous video and it's so frikkin' helpful. Thank you. Lots of love and light to you.

Stormie. What decks would you recommend for inner child work? I love that you suggested such bright, uplifting decks for shadow work, which typically isn’t the norm so I’m interested to see what you would recommend for inner child work.

Off the top of my head I think that tarot of the enchanted forest would be good for inner child work as well. That’s the only deck I personally own that I would say. Other than that I’d recommend a deck themed around something that resonates with your childhood specifically. What did you love as a child? Can you find a deck with a theme like that?

I used the tarot Linestrider Tarot for about 8 years, it was my first and only deck. I'm not Wiccan, and I don't consider myself a witch. I consider myself someone who is trying to make sense of her spiritual side, and if it has a name, great. If it doesn't subscribe to a belief system, that suits me just fine, too. The deck I had helped guide me through a breakup of a pseudo-marriage relationship, identified what kind of people I should trust, and even helped me build my career. I went through *a lot* of change during 2020, as did many. I needed time to myself without the cards, which was my entire year in 2021... I was in a new place and another new state. Then I found myself wondering about who I am spiritually, since I never took the time to explore that side of me (also being born into a doomsday cult doesn't help), so I decided to retire that deck and start anew with the Woodland Wardens Oracle deck. I am looking at maybe growing a smol deck collection, (never thought about it until you!) and I am preferring Oracle decks more as it would seem! I also grabbed a new journal, which I'll be using to record my shadow work. The first time I'll be using the deck will be to celebrate Autumn Equinox. I'm going to discover what the celebration of the seasons is going to mean for me, using that deck. This was my first video of yours and I really love it. Too many content creators come off as "know-it-all gurus" that really put me off, but you're different in the best kind of way, because you're actually relatable (and not in the fake kind of way). I know you are straying from talking videos and I will support whatever content you want to publish at any kind of schedule. You do you, Stormie.

I just came across your channel literally yesterday, and ive been binging on your shadow work videos because I’m just getting back into my practice… and I have to say you’ve been so helpful. I have to ask because it’s something that ive been thinking while watching your videos, have you ever thought about doing a podcast? Advice, tips, guidance, dec reviews, your experiences.. etc? I would 100% be interested

I actually did start a podcast months ago, but I only made 3 episodes. I’ll get back to you here in the next month or two. You’re welcome to check it out. It’s literally just called “Stormie Atlantis” and you can find it on most podcast streaming services.
