This video was actually very interesting with the information about the Dancer class and I thank you for it. Yoshi-P caught my attention with the class at the beginning and you have solidified my resolve to play it in the new expansion. I can't wait to try it for myself! :D It looks like a lot of fun!

Now that Shadowbringers is out it's cool to see that MOST of this stuff was consistent! Devilment and Saber Dance swapped names, and you can't keep your buffs up on two people by juggling unfortunately. Loving the class though!

Not gonna lie, those flowcharts made my brain explode for a second. Procs were the reason I didn't like either of the range dps. MCH has removed them, and all of you guys are really making this class sound fun, so I'll have to try it. Thank you guys for doing what you do!

With all this info, I am totally getting this class and going through it as fast as possible. It's basically Procs: The Class and with the wide variety of combos, it's gonna be super fun.

I’m even more excited to play this class now. Not only does it look fun to play, but it sounds like it has a nice balance between damage and support. It’s also really comforting to know that its basic rotation isn’t clunky. One thing that did surprise me was hearing that the main dances, standard step and technical step, also double as high potency AOES.

My static was talking about who needs to be dancer to see if it is a benefit to the raid. Myself and one other person volunteered to try it to see if we can be good at it (also so we dont have 2 ninjas anymore). This video actually makes me wanna play dancer and it seems simple to understand. Thanks tate

I been curious about the class, but not planning on playing it. Though after watching the break down, I think I will give it a try. It does look super fun and I have oddly enough preferred proc based classes over set combo classes in all MMOs. The buffs it provides look super good for party and raid, aaaaand it's kinda a healer haha. I know a lot of people that were disappointed when DNC was shown to be a dps class and not a healer class, but looks to make sense now. (Now can really state that a DPS class is basically a healer due to all the buffs it focuses on.)

Whelp it is a good thing my dps of choice was planned to be MCH back when they said they were heavily reworking it. This is really fun looking and I just can't fully comprehend how cool it ended up. I really wasn't expecting to be interested at all.

Quick question: Do multiple dancer buffs stack? So you could for example after the more complex step have two party wide 5% buffs? Or do they overwrite each other?

I would think they do not stack. So if multiple dancers you need to space the apart. Not sure if the partner buff stacks with the party buff.

I don't know if someone said this already or not, but while you are dancing, you can't perform any other abilities except the Finishers and En Avant, and you can't move at all. The ability descriptions of Standard Step and Technical Step mention the ability lock, and this article of the Gamer Escape points out the movement part. gamerescape.com/2019/05/29/final-fantasy-xiv-shadowbringers-hands-on-with-dancer/ So, in other words, dances are pretty much TCJ's buffing little sister. Edit: Oh, Never mind about the movement part. I just saw in Merry's video his dancer moving around while dancing. My bad.

It's funny because I had no interest in Dancer even though I really like Bard and the Job Actions trailer didn't do it any help in that regard to raise my interest. Honestly, it was videos like this and hearing people who played the job hands on talk about it that's got me wanting to not only check it out but to possibly main it through the new expansion. Since Bard is losing a big bit of its utility which is one of the reasons I liked it so much I'm definitely feeling like Dancer might be the way to go. Plus, the share the same gear and it'll give me a reason to finally level up my Machinist as well.

Id like for the upgraded versions of the attacks to not be slotable and for the weaker attack to simply transform when the proc happens.

You do not have to use your procs instantly, you have 15 seconds to do it and can use otther things in the meantime, so that would probably limit some play, not much. Also 2 of the dance steps would have to find a new home, probably on the aoe abilitys (?), ruining my plans for a similarly set up bar and a toggle button between aoe and single target. ;)

All but two procs are on the gcd. You will have lots of time to react and use them. Trust me, dnc will be way easier than you think.

Interesting how they've removed the mch's ammo proc system to give it to dnc. Not saying in anyway it's bad far from it, I enjoyed brd and mch for the proc systems so dnc will be a nice alternative. Not sure how my male lalafell will look dancing about though....

Well, as it seems you mostly buff damage for them, you would probably use it on the highest personal dps classes. And since personal dps and raid utility is usually distributed, you would dance with the lowest utility classes most likely. Well hello there, my Blackmage and Samurai. ^^ (Obviously speculation, but with the gamebalance in mind)
