I’m a sparky as well and had this bag for a yeah and half now and love it but now thinking of changing to the dewalt backpack with wheels The bag is bloody heavy one handed when I just want to move the bag short distances and constantly lifting it on my back by one strap is starting to break the stitching. My bag is pretty loaded though.

@@michaeltoomer4090 "now thinking of changing to the dewalt backpack with wheels" Do you mean a backpack on wheels DEWALT DWST60101-1 ❓ You were interested in a backpack on wheels, it is reliable, it will last a long time, if the wheels fly out, break, what to do ❓ They (the wheels) can be replaced, repaired❓ I also want to buy DEWALT DWST60101-1 ❗

Maybe make a backpack installers setup. Some hand tools included ??
@forbrucenash Жыл бұрын
Dude, you are just the guy I need to talk to! I have a Craftsman power tool kit that I’d like to make inserts for but in a hard sided suitcase and was hoping to give me some pointers or advice on it. Only thing I found lacking in your kit is spare blades for cutting tools and maybe build it in such a way as to be able to charge your batteries in the case by running an extension cord from it. Happy foaming homie

Ok, I’m in the states so I’m not sure if we would be using the same cans of spray so there’s that but like I said I’d like to make a spray foam insert to cut out for my power tools but not waste space so I can put in the charger all the batteries and bits for the tools as well. How would I go about putting in enough foam to do what needs done without overkill and have room for the other stuff? If you have a face book account I can send a picture of the suitcase and tools in question, thanks

@@ShadowFoam best option I found so far is the Erbauer system. Lock holes on all the latches and the stack can be locked together. I will be able to make an easy modification to the stack latches that will allow me to get an cable tie for extra security to avoid the stack from coming apart.

Shadow foam is awesome! But I find it to be to pricey for my taste. The wifey works at a hospital where EVERYTHING pretty much gets delivered covered in this two inch foam board. They usually end up in the dumpster so she has given me SO MUCH FREE foam boards I have organized EVERYTHING and still have tons left. My old lady knows how to make me happy, she brings me garbage! 😂🖤🖤🖤😂

@@ShadowFoam oh dude, everything from my power tools to “my kids” 😂 (more like my toys) remote control RC’s drones etc. Off topic a bit; Back in the day, I used to have all my tools thrown in the bin, all messy, and was never able to find anything when needed. Well now our family uses three systems. Dad’s tool are in Milwaukee’s pack out, house “toys” and electronics go in the Ridgid system. Mom’s art supplies and sawing items go in the Husky connect system. Everything labeled so we know where to find it. It’s an investment that we have been doing ever since COVID, maybe it was just out of Borden or something but it has dramatically changed our lives for the better. I will never, ever go back to storing things on its original cardboard boxes or put in closets to never be seen again. We now have stacks upon stacks of well organized items, and if we ever decide to move it all comes with us as such. I don’t know why I waited so long to do it this way. As you can imagine, my wife getting me free foam has been the cherry on top. Organize stuff leads to an organized life and mental clarity. 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

Don't call millimetres 'mil' as that's just stupid and lazy. FYI, a 'mil' is 1/1000th of an inch and "SOME" countries still holding onto using inches which is confusing AF to hear someone state 70 mil because that's VERY thin, that's why you don't. I'm metric so no, nothing in it for me other than it sounds stupid to hear 70 mil when you could say 7 centimetre(s) or 70 millimetre(s).
