Shadowheart finds her parents | Baldur's Gate 3

She's my avatar character for the first playthrough, and the way the dice turned out over the run, the path was SUPER dark. At each turn, she chose Shar, and in the final moments, she quelled all doubt and massacred her parents. Now Shar wants me to lead an army in the coming battle? Really nervous about where this is heading.

Shadowheart's approval rating in my play through is exceptional, so will Shadowheart deciding to choose for herself on what to do to her parents similar to how I let Shadowheart decide for herself to spare the Nightsong? I mean if I let her choose, either Shadowheart puts her parents of their misery or she saves them, but is still cursed by Shar herself.

Vile indeed. I think Shar's voice actress did a superb job of conveying the goddess's coldness, cruelty, hatred and vindictiveness. Her voice to me comes across as haughty, cold yet... also pained through nursing immense resentment. Perfection. Larian employs so many talented people.

But I guess being as petty as she is, she’s really unable of that. Granted I’m no dnd expert on lore but goddamn this Shar is a real piece of trash lol

It was a quest reward from some water tribe girl or whatever I think the start point was just south of the steel foundry and involved investigating a body that washed up. You have to side with her when the time comes

Because there is no real resurrect in this game, otherwise players probably would have resurrected Kanon like crazy in the beginning. (He’s the Tiefling on the Druid Wall who is killed in the cutscene. Ever since Early Access he’s been dying. Pretty sure people would have jumped to finally revive him the moment they could lol.)

@@Norinia Did they provide any explanation for that being absent from the game? I'm pretty sure in DnD you just need to find a decent priest and hand over a diamond or something along those lines.

@@DGneoseeker1 No, they never provided much of an explanation for that. Some people rationalized by there being a scroll of true resurrection in game (only the one, part of the quest to bring back Gale if he dies, and if you don’t bring him back, the game ends in a couple days, so I don’t think anyone’s ever tried to use it outside of that for obvious reasons (since seeing if Kanon can live doesn’t make sense if he’s just going to die extremely soon)) Honestly sucks, as you can get a dozen scrolls of revivify, yet you can’t immediately use on people you see die.

@@Norinia Wait, so you CAN use revivify, which LITERALLY resurrects the dead, but only if they died in the last 60 seconds? That should work fine for my plan. Maybe not useful for my other plan where you smash someone's skull and resurrect them to bring them back without their tadpole though. What happens if one of your people dies in combat and you don't use revivify within a minute then?

@@DGneoseeker1 You can only use revivify on your companions, and I think it doesn’t matter when they die, you can wait about all you want just cuz ‘they’re your companions’. Edit: and if that does go wrong (shouldn’t) you just bring 200 gold to Withers and he’ll resurrect them anyways. Edit Edit: And he does have his own line of bullshit on the matter of resurrection others. My Dark Urge character killed an innocent she wanted to pay to bring back, and he just bragged “LoLz ToO bAd ShE’s NoW wHeRe YoU cAn’T hUrT hEr AgAiN ThY wHeEl Of FaTe TuRnS dArK bItCh 😏😏😏”

Elves have a much longer lifespan, so it's obvious her mom would age as a regular human.

Half-Elves can also live longer than humans but it's much shorter than an Elf's lifespan. I think i have read somewhere that Shadowheart is 40 years old. @@RayoSombrio78

Its been 40 years since theyre taken, ıf Shadowheart was 5 or 6 then now shes 45 or 46. Her mothers probably in her 60s now.

Shadowheart is actually 48 which is what, 18, 28 in Half Elven Years? If you look up the character’s ages you’ll see that Astarion is 350, Karlach is 28, Gale is 30, Wyll is 24, Halsin is 350, Minthara is 250, Mincs is 130, Jaheria is 150 and Lae’zel is 22, making her the youngest of the cast.
