For anyone trying out for Nala or who got the part of Nala, listen to the original Broadway Shadowland track, not the Jr. Version. Follow the notes of this one, but give the passion and feeling of the original. This one is very bland and generic, she has no passion when singing. That’s my biggest tip for you. (this actually goes for the whole show, not just this track)

This really helps. My school's doing this for our annual spring play and the chorus instructor wants me to be Grown Nala (I've been in her group for five years straight and she told me ahead of time when she bought the play itself -things like the scripts, soundtrack, rights, etc.- ) This really helps with getting ready for the auditions (despite them being in a few months)
