@@fsnotchris I think if you're purely going to PVP that it's the most consistent. I do think that all the covenants have their pros and cons. I personally went Kyrian since I like other forms of content and like the playstyle

I went Kyrian as well. Since I much prefer Survival in arena, but will play mostly MM in m+, raids and BGs I had to go for the overall best covenant for my use. Thanks for the guide though! Good to see some fellow survs!

Hey man new sub here love that a glad came out with a survival video. I'm right there with you on everything but legendaries. Your picks make sense, but I was almost positive latent poison injectors was the only option for arenas

Craven Stratagem will most likely be our go-to in most matchups. Against dot teams, your healer basically doesn't have to ever dispel you and it makes you very tanky with the Hunter's Resilience Conduit. Latent Injectors can be good for swapping targets but if you're spamming Mongoose Bites it won't really stack up. Nesingwary's Trapping Apparatus gives us a lot of focus and focus regeneration so right after we land a trap we can start stacking Mongoose Bites as quickly as possible.

Looking at leaderboard for survival hunters… i see people take a much different stat approach than most classes… would you say stat priority for pvp would be agil>vers>haste>mastery~crit … or mastery over crit and haste, or mastery over just crit? Thank you.

I went Kyrian because it works well for other forms of content. I think Necrolord is good consistently if you plan on JUST doing PVP but each covenant has their pros and cons. Kyrian is letting people to big burst right now but I think Necrolord is more consistent

@@swampsect Kyrian is definitely very strong and bursty, I think that people put too many eggs in their basket that way though. I've definitely had times where I've been CC'd, Stunned, Disarmed, Poly'd, Feared on my Double Tap Aimed Shot windows. I'm playing Kyrian currently but Necrolord is consistent damage. You will always get the damage as long as you're in LOS. This could be good for comps like KFC or Jungle where they don't have a ton of cross CC to help you land your Double Tap + Aimed Shots and the consistent damage could help greatly there. I think a lot of it will be playstyle and comp you're wanting to play

what do you think about tip of the spear ove rmongoose bite? it makes the red wildfire bomb better and it makes your initial burst higher if you start with 3 kill commands harpoon in and raptor strike.. kinda a fun playstyle. i get that mongoose bite has more sustained damage though

I think Mongoose Bite is definitely better in PVP as it gives you a burst window, I hear Tip of the Spear could be viable for PVE but I don’t think it’s that strong in PVP

Very nice and quick guide! I saw some people already asking about this, but isn't the Tip of the Spear more effective in a pvp scenario than Mongoose? I mean with current low haste levels I'm not really able weave in that many Mongoose bites in a row, especially in pvp where I have to use globals for some other things (chain cc, interrupt etc.) and also base Raptor Strike does also more dmg than 1 stack mongoose plus you are using kill command in between anyways, so you usually have that Raptor strike with 25% dmg buff, so Mongoose does more dmg only when on about 4 stacks, I did not calculate the maths behind this but from the first look it seems like Tip of the spear is much easier to use and you are not that much prone to losing as much DPS as when you mess up Mongoose bite window, also the pure DPS difference does not seem to be that big and you have more space since you can stack the buff from range with kill commands too, also negating the dmg loss when kited. What do you think? I just would like to figure out if I'm doing something wrong :D Also on a short note - what about A Murder of Crows? With current bursty meta it seems to fit better or at least in 2s or do I have that wrong too? :D

None of the covenants are mandatory. Some might be more advantageous than others, but you can make others work as well

Yes. I think Chakrams does good damage just be careful that it can break CC. Wildfire Bomb is easier to use and I think they’re both pretty similar

Survival IS fun, however, I don't think it's doing TOO well compared to some of the other specs right now. It's actually an odd spec, it's kind of hit or miss for people

I'm the same way. I like a little bit of every form of content so I went Kyrian. I think Necrolord is the best purely for PVP as it's the most consistent, but I think Kyrian fits well into most forms of content

@@Scatter_WoW That extra healing/dispell is really good. I play a Night elf aswell so getting a dispell will help me alot when i'm trying to stealth. The ability is really good tho. BUT my friends want to go hard on M+ and Night fae looks pretty good for that aswell. Night Fae is also really good for the 3 hunters specs wich is weird, so i'm still confused about all this lol. I would love having the option to pick one covenant for pvp and one for pve.

Think people are over hyping Kyrian. You can sadly “miss” your arrow if you just fat finger it, it does break CC on the initial hit, or you can be CC’d on during it. That’s why I think Necrolord is more consistent, Death Chakrams is fire and forget and it doesn’t break CC. But anything you pick for the most part is viable. A lot of people pick Kyrian because it does decent in PVE too
