I had to watch the video twice to understand. That's nothing to do with your explanation and everything to do with soulbinds and conduits being a little confusing. I see what people mean when they say SL doesn't encourage role/spec swapping

I would love to know why the covenants are not class locked and the soul binds a simple and small talent tree.

Great video! One suggestion, though. You should emphasize the progressive nature of Renown, instead of consistently saying it's time-gated behind Renown. Time-gating has become a dirty word for WoW players given how bad it's been in the past. Might give the wrong impression to players who don't pay attention to beta.

Ohh yeah, lets go 12 yrs back to Wrath of The Lich King and so we don't have any content to actually play after 2 months of expansion. Soulbinds are really simple, if that's complex to you then something's wrong, but not with a game.

hum... to get all conduits seems like a reasonable task, but from what i can see ilvl wise (15 versions per conduit in wowhead conduit calculator) looks not like a big hustle to get to upgrade them asap is justified. chances going from 3,1% to 3,4%... pfft... nothing to run dungeons specificly for.

Hmm not really, Renown should've catch up for alts, not sure when that will kick in (maybe few weeks into SL or when you fall behind on your renown weekly quests) so you will be able to get traits and such at a faster pace to keep up with your main and conduits are just another drop so as difficult as getting gear on an alt or relics from Legion if you played. SL looking good for alts overall.

So I play fire in pvp and I will play frost pve. Can I change my conduits when I do pve? I mean the damage conduits I will use is for fire. So when I go frost for a raid then what?

You can change conduits at the forge in your covenant yea, but it's a hassle If one minute you doing pvp the other a dungeon. Right this moment we cant do this since we only have one soulbind character but the way to work around it, is to set one soulbind for frost and another one for fire with different conduits placed, as you can change soulbinds with a tome or at a rested place.

It's the new approach to progression basically, instead of having people grind islands or MoS, infinite grinds basically. They trying it out with this gated 'grind' approach, which is far less time consuming and far more chill for everyone but has the downside of feeling that.... its artificially extending 'content'. Power wise like in the soulbinds here, it's completely fine since you get the big power trait at the start and the rest is just more numbers btw.

You won't have max conduits and traits yea but its balanced around it so overtime is one way to also make the raid 'easier'. Just like with azerite and artifact weapons were at the start.

@@SelwenG Thanks, I do feel better about it all now. I was excited to possibly get my COV armor set over the holidays, so that's still a disappointment but I'd take this system over ever having to do anything like Islands again lol.
