This band is what I've been looking for in the Metal scene. Very clean and extreme drumming, always in sync with the shredding. They are not just "another " metal band, they are setting the standard. Absolutely crushing it.

Ben is another level of metal vocals. It's not so much his low growls, but the dynamics of switching up his voice and rhythm. He keeps it interesting unlike some metal vocalists who can be a little one-note in style. Absolute monster.

@@Khazandar No, he's right. I literally just tried listening to his DOOM cover and if there's anything I took away from it, that would be it. His vocals don't do much for me anyways, but to have that be pretty much all he does, I've always thought he was an overrated vocalist.

These guys are so good. I only just began listening to them in the last year. I'm still not sure what the difference between metalcore/deathcore and death metal is, but Shadow of Intent just makes some beautifully brutal metal.

Not all that much really, just different packaging lol. SOI is basically a blend of technically savvy death metal and melodic deathcore. The breakdowns that are a key part of deathcore are blended so perfectly with the more classic death metal flow of the music that honestly, it’s hard to even categorize as being more of one or the other.
