Some ratlings are smart, yes, yes, yes? Maybe smart ones know about oil! Put something to hold oil attached to rope on other side of door! Oil splash on manlings, then lantern falls on manlings, yes, yes, yes! Wait; did Monty just say in this episode that the Gnolls where what were keeping the rats of Drakenheim in check, and by taking out that natural predator during Drakenforce's raid on the church, the rats were free to propagate as far as they did in the finale?

Yep yep! I remember the Rat Prince saying they had a mass feeding and breeding thanks to the gnolls' demise. Also due to Sebastian underestimating the Rat Prince and company he sent them to that wizard's house where the demon god's altar was and that led to their massive power and intellect spike.

New/restated rules: 27*: There's always more than one way in or out. 49: Cleanliness is next to godliness. Bruce appears after the break (4th noted appearance, by my counts), perched on the shelf behind Joe. He stays until about 1:49:00. Glad to hear River explaining just how dangerous the Ratlings are--they overrun Drakkenheim... Also, bravo to Wilhelm this episode. 3 masterfully executed stealth kills, and 1 Doom-worthy glory kill--I guess that's why he chose the Rouge... ...poor Houdini. But his death and the weird mechanics of Familiars not leaving behind a body created mistrust... creating an amazing opening for the group to attack... And the team then takes on a camp of 30+ Ratlings AND a Rat-Ogre (Rat-Bane? Chonkers was essentially a cyborg with tubes in his head and back pumping Delirium into him...)... and WIN (AoE on weak enemies is brutal). But Scribbles and one Rat-Ogre still live. And with that, I'm caught up! Hope to see you Tuesday.

At hour and 27 minutes, Wilhelm should not have been able to sneak attack the ratling as he was 40 feet away from it, which is long range for hand crossbow and thus should have given him disadvantage.

The rats wouldn't have known the fish priest was killed, so the whole seen of river telling them to go back is incorrect and a little railroading. besides that I love you guys keep up the good job.

Wouldn't have known the moment it happened, but the ratlings attack the surface right before dawn, and it was midnight, so they had about 5 hours before the ratlings emerge into the sewers, and it takes 8 hours to long rest. Even that assumes that there are no ratling scouts anywhere in the sewer. It's very possible that because the ratlings are cowardly they wouldn't take one trip without opposition as indication that the fish folk are gone, but it's absolutely just a matter of time. That time could have been days, but it also could have been minutes.
