The elves fled their homeworld because it was terraformed by delirium and the mutations made it unliveable. The first elves set up these watch stations to keep an eye out and make sure it didn't happen again. The delirium is alive and is acting like a Tyranid invasion converting everything in its path into more of itself, sowing chaos and despoilment. The elves witnessed this on other worlds, but over time have forgotten their vigil. This is my theory.

@Devdan Louis Spurlock Yeah true, I was thinking Drider as they were going into an Elven Structure and there were tones of webs about. Not sure if Monty would restrict Driders to only being Drow and might just have it as one of the many odd effects of Delerium that could happen to elves specifically... but to be honest I can see elves having some kind of connection to Delerium but I'm not sure if it was just "Their world was the last one wrecked" or if they are like a "Delerium Shephard" of sorts I'm like 40/40 on it being something like one of those two... the other 20 is that I am well off, but it is fun to wonder with this campaign :)

I think a big difference is that critical role are clearly actors and the dungeon dudes are clearly gamers. The high drama and character acting in critical role is great and enjoyable to watch, but the dungeon dudes just play better DnD. Subtle things from making better spell choices, and optimising within their characters class choices (like Jill's characters are just damage dealing machines, and Wrath and Sebastian both use things like hypnotic pattern or control spells as their go too spells). They don't stumble over the mechanics whilst delivering the acting, they get into character better because they don't need to worry about the mechanics.

And Monty's setting is so much more unique and my style, rather than exandria, which whilst great, is very much a generic campaign setting in the same vein as many others such as the forgotten realms. The Westemar/Drakkenheim setting is absolutely awesome.

[PROBABILITY] . If the (global? local?) chance of an eldritch planar incursion is currently 3.9% ; then it means there is a (passive?) 96.10% of it not happening randomly. . Assuming this calculation refers to a "chance per year" (that started with the Fall of Drakenheim, that also counts as an "extra" zeroth event); then: | (0.9610)^16 = 0.5291 | -> The chance of a massive incursion NOT happening in the last 15 years was only slightly better than a coin flip. . If the calculation was "chance every moon/month"; for it to NOT already happened it would be 1 in thousands (so likely not the case); unless the probability of it HAPPENING was extremely small at the begining, but has increased exponentially every month (only reaching 3.9% this last moon). . The restoration of the Layline NEXUS & closing of the Rift on the Throne Room likely has stopped this "%" progression (it may even "heal" by itself overtime if the spread of Delirium haze its kept at bay or reduced). Or... -> It is now a coin flip EVERY YEAR (passive 3.9% + active shenanigans).

Monty, not sure if you look at older comments but I will post anyway.... if you take the spell effect token and attach it to a blank character sheet, name the character sheet with the spells name, and make it visible and controlled by all players, anyone can drag the token to the map and place it themselves. I am doing that for my roll20 game and it works really well. also if you set the spell token "to back" from the right click drop down menu the playable tokens will be placed above the spell effect so you can still move them without the spell effect getting in the way.

The sea hags spent like two turns just casting cantrips, and only pulled out their big guns again after Rudi summoned the fire elemental. And he didn't have the fire elemental turn hostile to the Duskwardens, which RAW it should have done when she lost concentration.

I am interested to see how he developed the elven history with delirium. I have the source book and in the campaign I just started I used a custom sub elf race I had made for a home brew world called Star Elves as those that caused the first delirium incident. Seeing the destruction of their world as inevitable, they reached out into the stars becoming astral elves as some tries to clean up the mess while other Star Elves sought to contain and use it. The Star Elves were a secret founding force behind the Amethyst Academy and the push to contain and use it.

Gill really pulled it out the bag there. All the best to Gill and her Apprentice in their casting of Conjure Tiny Human (that's a spell from Tasha's, I think). In Roll 20, if you start to move a token and then, while still keeping you right click on, left click. This should turn on the ruler function. You can then continue to more the token as long as you continue to left click. You can right click at any point to drop a way point, allowing you to measure around corners.
