Little Tipp for joe: With Gift of the Depths you have Water Breathing the whole time. So if you cast it on up to ten people you don't have to include yourself like you did in this episode.

Question: did you include rules for divine delirium? i.e. if the leader of the fallen fire Lucretia Mathias transmutes the delirium from octurine to gold, arcane to divine delirium? I suppose it works as a focus for divine spells, etc. ?

She turned it to gold, but keep in mind when she did that to the sentient, upset sword it became more powerful and Pluto could use it again. But Ignacious never spoke again, I think she killed him.

Love that you guys post these vids on Friday because i can stay up late on the weekends watching SoD! I also wanted to add - for large battles like this I usually try and color coded token borders. I normally do blue for the party, red for enemies, and green for allies or neutral NPCS. Thought I would share, as it seems to be very helpful for my group!

Been a year since this but I have an answer (I think). Pretty sure that was a DM added feature of Veo’s background of Survivor from the text. I myself have a character in our campaign that I am running that has contamination and a mutation and is also immune to handling small pieces of delirium

My solution would be Wrath asking if he knew about the Shapewater spell, its level and general accessibility - giving that info to the Silver Order, hop on a Raft with enough people to scout underwater for a reasonable length of the time to not only find and infiltrate the Duchess' lair but to assault it all together. Throw enough just enough people at it underwater, and theoretically, you should be able to kill it before Contamination claims any lives. Return to the surface with a handful of boats, get back to shore, and start Decontamination via spells. It establishes bait, on multiple counts, revenge, recruits, and food, all within terrain favourable to their opposition. Crossbows, Javelins are effective underwater, and as long as they anchor themselves to a degree, the marrow should have some difficulty pulling them into the water with their chains... Or is that too crazy? 🤨 Only issue I see I see is the initial baiting, and maintaining it well and long enough that the Duchess not only shows, and but doesn't retreat. If I were the aboleth, I would tire them out with attrition if I got wise to their plan. Maybe try turning mid-combat enemies into allies.

As Monty informed the players in the last episode, the contamination where the Duchess lives would have them doing constitution checks every single turn, so no one could make it down there long enough to kill the Duchess.

I finally caught up! I have enjoyed the adventures you all had guided me through. I listened to them all like a good book that I can't put down. I recall a wild magic that had healed others but one being takes damage equal to the total points of healing. Thought it would be interesting if that was a permanent touch curse. someone healing others but taking their damage. No magical healing, only natural. Just a thought.

*spoiler for last action of the fight* As cool as that is, it doesn't work RAW. I ran into the same problem in last night's session, actually. Thunderstep only allows you to teleport a willing creature your size or smaller. Since Rudy is enlarged, she is 1 size larger than Rath. Super cool, I'd allow it, but doesn't work RAW

The new Delirium rules sound cool, but I wonder if the 5th level spells requirement leaves out the most crafting-focused class in the game for most the game. Artificer sort of misses out.
