Kelly! A tip to remember luck points. Place an amount of d20's equal to you amount of luck points on top of your monitor, that way you always have them in sight. When you use a luck point, you use that die. I kept forgetting my bardic inspirations untill I did this.

Like "screen" the word "court" comes from 11th century Modern French cour, from Latin cortem, accusative of cors (earlier cohors) "enclosed yard,". These enclosed spaces became the gathering places for meeting royalty. So the soverign and those that surrounding became the "court" B ecause judicial investigations were originally overseen by the monarch later became entangled with the legal idea of "court"

this village has been so closely attuned to the first and last characters I have created ever since I have found Dungeons of Drakkenheim that I have paid very close attention to the arc. I am actually quite surprised at where the mindset of the group is at, especially at the dinner invite, as they were so focused on the attack being against them... Meanwhile, I was sitting here thinking "Oh, so the night after the Burgermeister was attacked, she gathers up all the key players at her estate, leaving only gullible unaware guards to defend the victim..."

As the background of Wilhelm unfolds, the thought that Wilhelm actual name is Wilhelm von Kessel is getting stronger. Think about it, homeland of Wilhelm's is Kessel Wald forest near Kessel home, either Wilhelm is part of royal family or Wilhelm's father was a member of royal guard. And the tension at Wilhelm to the reference of Elias Drexel's name that means that Drexel killed royal guard of Kessel (father of Wilhelm is a member)? Or that means Wilhelm's family was royal guards of the Kessel family. Also I have a strong feeling that the rogue class is part of Wilhelm's hide his identity, he is maybe a knight? Or Witch hunter

Wilhem - the countess could be in danger of the vampire, or be the vampire as you say - but she could also be either a hostage - or (i hope) turnes out to be a warlock with a pact of the undead, with the vampire as her patron. Maybe she is willing and happy to see her power grow as the vampire expands her influense and horror and feeds on the elite besides herself - or maybe her letting this unholy creature feed on the elite to prevent commoners suffering the same fate. But i really hope the countess is a warlock in a pact with the vampire. The vampire could be the countess, but maybe using someone else to pose as the real countess but that is under thr vampires direct controll, willing/knowingly or not. To me someone really cunning does not need to be shown in power, but smart enough to controll from the shadows while the one that ppl think has the power, is just a big target dummy for whom is really in controll. Was wierd that the heroes did not ask lea/leah(?) about the countess if she had met her or knew anything about her or the castle. Also had i been in this as a PC I would have gobe to the druid they already spoke with other the others he mentioned, and gain the druids aid against the undead vampire as druids hate and war against any undead as their monstrous undead essence is an abomination to druids and goes strictly against the natural ways of nature, life and its balance that all druids serve (unless druids are more diffrent the we know in this world). Otherwise the whole vampire sneaking out to feed all the time seems like a noob vampire. He/she should have enough power and gold over their years to have a good secure stronghold/base of operation then just send out to those who needs job and offer them good work with pay, then just lock them in and/or controll the minds on them and just continue feeding without any risks. Had they family on the outside just make them write a letter to them once in a while and/or just send them a letter that they died on some sort of accident or whatever while the vampire for years to come feed of their still living ”stock”.

I hope there may be a possibility of a followup other book on Westemar overall after the Drakkenheim one is out and you're rested. It need not be terribly big, just so long as it could give rundowns of all the locations you've made and a couple adventure maps, kinda like the ToA Chult I guess (my favourite 5E release to simply read parts of occasionally).Obviously already backed the campaign, maybe I'll ask the same question on its comments. As for the session, love how you can finally indulge in some "classic tropes" yet still manage to make them feel fitting. Also the castle looks a bit like Dragonsreach, in a good way.

Just a litte question. Are those grids made by Monty (if yes, what app) ?? Or are they ordered?

Even in a one on one a vampire saves on about 50% of magic cast. ( +7 ti +9 and daving throws) and even then it has an action to chose three times a day to save on anything it fails. Thats maybe seven spells before one effects it! Meanwhile if it grams you it can hit you for 15 damage on average and drain those HP permaently until a long rest. You will have to deal near 150 HP damage before it thinks about running. It can even be reduced to zero and turn to mist and flee. And all the time you risk getting charmed. It can flee and pick you off with opportunity attacks. Best bet is try and land a few 30 pointers and a few 15 pointers on it. when it loses 100HP it might retreat. But in a few turns it will be back up to full HP! Hopefull it has used up its automatic saving actions and will take damage quicker. Then just stay put in a defensive group and wait till dawn and find its lair kill it and follow the mist to any backup and drag it into sunlight. Hopefully one of the Lanterns will know about wooden staking it through the heart?? I wouldnt even try to start a fight without better preperation. If you misty step away and outside. It can follow you and summon wolves!
