I had a similar problem with fading eyeshadows but it was the Zoeva Screen Queen. It was a bit old but certainly not one of my oldest palettes and they're still fine. It's almost all shimmers and I used the green one, half an hour later my eye was mauve, not green. Tried the baby pink and blue shades and again they faded in half an hour to a matching very pale gold. Never had that happen before but I'm glad I got good use out of it before it went. Now I'm side eyeing my other Zoeva palettes.

You have such a lovely collection! Also "Yes it's garbage, but it's beautiful garbage!" is my favorite line ever 😂

I have the Viseart eyebrow palette, and I've literally used it every time I do my brows for over a year now and it also looks barely used.

I swear Viseart is magic!

Honestly, I was raised around antiquities and I deeply appreciate things that look used. Same with the way paint palettes. It reminds me of some refined person sitting in their boudoir getting ready with their well loved and established makeup collection. Also, I use an antique handheld mirror because for some reason I get anxiety using the mirrors from palettes. It is a physical anxiousness that is uncomfortable and uneasy feeling - like my eyes start to ache. It is weird. Also, why are you referring to some shadows as Frankenshadows? Is this alluding to Frankenstein’s Monster?
@shadowsmoked884 жыл бұрын
That is the reference! It's the term some people use for mixing different parts of makeup together to create something new.

Hey, anxiety can be a pain can’t it? Frankenshadows, I feel like, are a super creative corner of beauty KZbin. Creative, inspiring and “George’s Marvellous Medicine” by Ronald Dahl 😊

I love seeing older palettes, most of my eyeshadow palettes are older ones that I buy on Poshmark because I could never afford the retail price.Some people sell barely used eyeshadow palettes for like 20$😱

I think the last masterpiece UD did was the Naked Honey palette.
@shadowsmoked884 жыл бұрын
They should have ended the Naked line with that one

I'd love to see your thoughts on the LA girl pallet. I hear some mixed reviews and it seems some pallets are good while others are not as good. But omg...those colors are so pretty.

My Desert Dusk has always swatched like that since the day i got it. I got it in store at Sephora. It works on the eyes fine (excluding the matte purple. That was trash from day 1) but has never swatched any different from yours and has always been super dry. I wonder if i bought an old one. I thought that was just how the formula was. Kind of like the bperfect carnival palettes. They work well on the eyes but swatch like shit.

I haven't used it on my eyes in a while, but it was VERY different when I was first bought it. Almost creamy.
