You just like surf music. So does everyone who knows anything. Little known fact: Jimi Hendrix produced a surf music album that wasn't released until long after his death. It's very hard to find, and I have only seen it on cassette tape. It was truly, embarrassingly terrible. That just shows how hard it is to do good surf tunes.
@redacted22752 жыл бұрын
It has that Hank Marvin/The Shadows signature guitar sound that's practically a musical genre on its own, it influenced all UK guitarists from the 60s, it started an entire generation of instrumental rock bands in Japan (together with The Ventures). If you listen to The Shadows' "Apache", "Theme for Young Lovers", "Wonderful Land" you can understand why the band have always said they weren't a surf music band. There's more behind their sound and arrangements.
@redacted22752 жыл бұрын
@@CreekyGuy This song has more of Hank Marvin's influence than The Ventures or the average surf music band... it has that lush arrangement that makes you feel in the middle of an apocalyptic Western.

The theme song is as good as ever, but the show is just too gay for me. I saw Season 1 Ep. 1 and won't put in any spoilers, but if you're even vaguely interested in women, you're out of luck. If the rest of the season is like Ep.1, I am very sad. Dave Foley has always been a favorite (especially, in 'Blast From the Past'), but I have no interest in gay culture immersion. Too bad.
