Great job on a great song! Thanks for sharing!! Would you mind if I asked what brand banjo you're playing? Sounds great!!

That banjo is a pisgah with a tubaphone tone ring, really loud like electric almost. I’ve since sold it looking for a different sound. Nice banjo though.

This video is great, thanks so much for posting! Question: When you play the song at the start of the video, I don't hear any strumming. Are you just tapping the body of the banjo with your thumb instead of strumming?

If you play Shady Grove in sawmill tuning at a jam, what key do the other instruments play? Thanks!
@BanjoLemonade4 жыл бұрын
I’m playing it in the key of G.

Hey Mandy. Thanks for the new lesson. I enjoy them. I see you got a Pisgah? Pretty awesome right?
@BanjoLemonade5 жыл бұрын
Hey Alan, yes it’s a Pisgah custom. My patrons are the only reason I was able to get it. I owe them so much!! I love it. Thank you.

If you played just chords for this song to go with this tune, what would they be? Im not great at working out that sort of stuff, though Im trying to get my head around it all. Thanks for uploading Mandy, Ive been looking forward to this lesson. Cheers.

Thanks Red! Sorry but that is something I would discuss on patreon with my patrons who provide monetary support. There are helps on the internet that you can find though. I try to be as helpful as I can with the free stuff but I gotta draw the line somewhere. Blessings, Mandy
