Shady drawing the one of Treeborn Frog is a perfect example of what i like to call the Garnet Effect, if you only run 1 copy of a card you never want to draw, its pretty much guaranteed you will draw it turn 1

There is an otk ice barrier deck focusing on their signature spell card. 15 ice barrier, 3 of that spell, 2 big wave small wave and use balance for your skill. This comp has a high chance of OTK

Ian Mejia I use that pretty much but with a econ and soul exchange and that one pot of greed card which sends waters into your deck then you draw 2. Is big wave small wave worth using?

Memealade And 3.14 you want exactly 5 spells/traps that way with balance you always get a starting hand of 3 monsters and 1 spell. If you don't draw the signature spell big wave is a great alternate way to get out your big monsters. These 5 specific cards help reduce chance of bricking. But that's if you want to focus on the OTK if you want to run the deck a different way I wouldn't recommend anything close to this comp!

I'm getting so much nostalgia seeing Ice Barriers. I remember starting to get back into the game (physical card game) when Ice Barriers just came out, and my friend built the deck. I can say that year I've played over 1000 games against that Ice Barrier deck. Feelsgoodman.

For future reference, in the match against Rex you'd be safer going for the tribute set instead of tribute summon since the big guy sits at 2000 Def. Not attacking kept you safe from Mirror Wall but bringing the guy out in Atk mode potentially made you lose to an ECon-take play, so setting the monster would protect you from that as well. :]

I used to use treeborn and nephthys in an o.g. deck back in the day. you s.s. sacred Phoenix, blow up all s/t which lets you trigger frog, then when it comes out use it for econ, trib or "hand of nephthys" for another Phoenix summon.

i dont know if its already done or suggested, but a Beast Deck. Using Beast riser. Using Normal Beast. and effect, Beast and beast warrior. Unicon Beacon and Common Charity. The goal, is to get out 2 monster and Beast riser out. Common Charity+Unicon Beacon provides a way to get more than 1 monster on the field before you have the chance to use Beast riser. Soul baboon helps getting your beast removed from play for unicon beacon use. Normal beast cards are not that strong, except Great angus(1800atk) but they are the only targets for all 3 Cards for a semi fast play. next, Cards like super rush would help survive against big monsters or buffed. Beast riser, would effectively let your monster hit twice. also it can serve as a dodge, as long as you have at least 2 monster on the field.

Is that Treeborn frog double summon thing a glitch? I know he summoned Treeborn during his Draw Phase and then again during his Standby but it clearly says on the card that he can only activate Treeborn's effect during his Standby and only once.

We gotta get those Machine's up in here. Union XYZ and Genex. Don't sleep on the Genex. Cheap as hell, a true meme and rather surprising. Rank10Ygo proved that. But seriously, Genex Army is amazing for a rare. I do think they could be great in Duel Links with more support, as the R-Genex searchers are basically just for searching into Ultimum eventually. They need more ones based on attribute to make Powercell and Changer more useful. Retriever is pretty good, surprisingly easy to spam with Magic Drain. And 3 Genex Army. Always. XYZ are just good. And Frogs. They may not be great, and are a gimmicky Otk, but they're worth playing in a video. Because they're fun. The main plan is to dump three Tadpole, by any means. To make Beelze Frog a huge Beatstick and spam more Des Frog. Run Treeborn as a shield to protect your LP while you get Tadpoles in the grave and as fodder for Des Frog, (or maybe A Legendary Ocean) and this is the important part, D.3.S frog may seem like the boss, but he's not too good. The way to go is Des Croaking Otk. 3 1900 beatsticks against an empty field? Game over. The only counters are Sphere Kuriboh and lifepoint skills. If you set up the Des Croaking and pull it off (nobody expects the frogs to otk), it's nearly a win. And with all the Battle traps, they're prolly gonna lose even with a Kuriboh.

that deck is considered like an assassin deck which can kill in your 1st turn

shady please use an elemental gods, Sanga of the Thunder, Suijin, Kazejin, Titan Showdown deck. Titan Showdown doubles your attack damage when your opponent has x2 more LP than you. Using Mausoleum of the Emperor, you can pay 2000 LP to summon one of the gods. Put them in defense position, and if the opponent attacks it, use their defend effect to reduce their attack to zero. Since they have x2 the LP as you do, it would do over 4000 damage to them. It can get an OTK, but that's if you pull the mausoleum and elemental god and they have a monster to attack it.
