I can't believe I didn't see this at the time, but Dimension Hole is so helpful in keeping Spirits on the field. That way, it is easier to tribute summon Yamata Dragon and Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi. Also, yeah, the ability only works on the most recent attack.

If you have it, you could tech in an anti-magic arrows or two. With the skill + the arrows, the deck has to worry about backrow even less in the off chance you cannot get the tribute off.

Since your monster cards are constantly bouncing back to your hand you don't need to run 3 copies of these monsters. Especially Susa Soldier since he is really just a situational counter. You can easily remove one for another javelin. Also could reduce one Asura Priest for another spell card. Since you use your life as a resource in this deck having a card like Supremacy Berry might be nice. Or you could even run stray lambs as another route to more consistently get off your Fenghuang. But in every duel you ended up getting monster flooded so reducing the monster count for helpful spells would probably be the best way to improve this deck. Even the double summon spell card would help in a lot of situations.

Advice on a Lava Golem deck, Basic Weevil; Blacksmith, e-con, mask of accursed, windstorm, jade insect, panda, cobra jar, etc. You can tribute for Golem, econ it to your field, attack directly, end turn, gg. You can just keep switching it's battle position with Kuriboh's, Econs, etc for game. Its just too good.

I've been using Spirit Monsters to destroy Marik lvl 40. I've been using Shino Birds, Susa Soldiers, white rabbits, exile of the wicked spell card, Spirits invitation, cloning, golden apples, nutrient Z, mystic box, enchanted javelins, security orbs, Celtic gaurdian, & a lady bug. I'm using Yami Yugi with destiney draw. I destroy Marik everytime lol haven't lost yet

Shady, in that last game, why not set a monster, set Super Rush Headlong, and wait for him to attack you? Whether he tributed, attacked straight up, or special summoned, all of his monsters were Earth, meaning you'd destroy one at least?

Lava Golem is actually pretty incredible in a Bakura Fiend Farewell lv 8 Fiend deck, as you can summon Golem then take it back with Necrofear. The deck also has access to Invader of Darkness, who is pretty ridiculously powerful, given that he stops Super Rush, Order and E Con
