Hi! This is not the song that won, one of the evenings of Sanremo is dedicated to covers. This is a cover of a song by her father, who was a famous Italian singer. Her father also sang on the Sanremo stage, she is now there to sing where her father sang. All of Italy cried.... you can't understand the lirycs but there are verses like: "where are you, where are you?" "you are my swallow that went away and left me a void" "you are in the wrong sky" " you are the only Love that I would live again". For us Italians Sanremo is a huge part of our culture, so when the festival airs the majority of the population watches it on TV. I can assure you Angelina brought us all to tears with this performance. You already know for sure she's the daughter of a great italian singer, Pino Mango, and La Rondine is one of his most famous songs. Hearing her singing it for the first time was absolutely heart-wrenching. The song is about a lost love, someone who flew away "in the wrong sky", and the chorus repeats "Where are you?" again and again. So, as you can imagine, the song got a complete new meaning with her performance, since it sounded like she was singing to his dad. That's why you could feel the emotions even despite the language barrier and why she put so much heart into the song. I still have goosebumps EVERY TIME I listen to it, I swear. It's one of the most wonderful performances I've ever listened to. She deserves the world.

Thanks to all the foreigners who love this girl and appreciate this poem, Sung like a fairy tale by Pino Mango who sadly passed away 10 years ago, Angelina in Italy is massacred with insults from ugly and cowardly people who don't accept her victory saying she didn't deserve it, that she shouldn't have won, that she doesn't know how to sing, they say she is recommended only because of her surname, she then sang one of her songs at the Festival and won, but the evening of the covers gave everyone chills, making the Ariston theater rise to 100%, all applause and tears of joy, remembering and paying homage to our Pino Mango who sang La Rondine. I'm a big fan of Angelina's father. I discovered his music when I met my boyfriend 11 years ago. His music and voice go straight to the heart and remind me of the beautiful summer 2013, when I was just 16 and fell in love with the love of my life.
