Oh, yes. It's like when you first fire up a valve guitar amp, and hear the shrieking howl of getting the feedback wires wrong. (It's a 50/50 flip.) Nothing like it!

I love seeing your progress, nice job so far. Just incase you don't know, if you ever have to remove that "taper lock" pulley. Take the bolts from the front and use the threaded holes in the back as Jack screws

if you need a couple different sized pulleys for the motor, I have a couple of taper lock pulleys for ...I think its a 7/8ths shaft fitting(might be 3/4, can't remember they been sitting in shed for years), either way you can get replacement taper locks for different shaft sizes on taper lock pulleys, they use a tapered center that does much like the pulley at 7:36 I got them years ago when I was going to build a lawn mower generator setup
